Emeline never signed her song over to jojo it was never for sale to begin with wasn’t even signed off or over they bought it right out from under her without her knowledge and now she can’t even release her own song because of jojo and shortly after emeline thought she’d be able to release her version but then suddenly the video she made introducing her own song was fully deleted. That’s not a coincidence. She now can’t release her own song because of jojo buying it out from under her without her knowledge. They even kept emelines original vocals and simply voiced it over with jojos. To me that isn’t okay. It’s wrong on so many levels. To buy a song right out from under the original owner and writer of it. And them never even signing off on it. I would be beyond livid.

I don't understand why people are all of a sudden shocked to find out that an artist that falls into the heavily commercialized pop genre didn't actually write a song, and also didn't advertise the fact she didn't. If this upsets you, I have some very bad news for you lol...This happens constantly in the industry, across many genres....in fact there are people who's only job is to ghostwrite songs for creatively bankrupt "musicians" and many of your favorite artists buy the rights to record and perform them. The writer gets royalties in some cases, or they might get a lump sum for it..The former singer of 4 non blondes made a career out of this...The difference is that most of the people who originally wrote the songs didn't record them.... If they did, it probably wasn't available publicly. Two of her songs were written by two other artists, and were recorded and publicly shown. Whats worse is Karma is not only 14 years old, it sounds 14 years old. There is a reason Miley Cyrus didn't want the song.... it's unremarkable. The other issue is that you have a celebrity known for being child like, and specifically geared for young audiences, forcing a stylistic change that doesn't fit her at all, and comes across as extremely inauthentic. In addition to this bizzare overnight change, using these prewritten songs written by someone else further highlights the fact that none of this actually reflects who she really is, or at least who the public believes she is. It's nothing we haven't seen before time and time again. Its just that other "artists" (I use that lightly because art requires one to be creative) do the same thing but don't have to also explain everything they are doing while they are doing it. She feels the need to over explain every move she makes because she already knows that everyone else expects something different from her, and that all if this is incredibly confusing. I understand the public's reaction. To be honest I respect jojo siwa before for having her own purposefully outdated late 80's child actor thing going on. I honestly felt she got alot of hate from seemingly miserable adults who couldn't sit back and let her be happy. It was almost wholesome. She did her own thing and didn't really seem to care. Do I think she could have stayed exactly like that and remained relevant? No. Probably not. But this isn't the change she needed to make. Its just a bizarre culmination of badly borrowed things from pop culture....from the gene Simmons thing, to the horrible dancing, with a lineup if generic background dancers, uncomfortable dry humping and I don't really know what else. Don't mistake her or anyone else like this for an 'artist' because everything was created for them. Don't file them under 'musician' because that too requires one to have the ability to at minimum play an instrument in my opinion. If you want to call these people anything, they are 'performers', and anyone can 'perform' it doesn't even mean you have to be good at it. The act of performing is just that. An act....or should I say an action. The hard parts were already done for them, now they just have to memorize it and do it on stage in front of a handful of cities and rake in the money from it. It's really a shame to know people who deserve a shot in the limelight for having real talent, born from actual drive and effort. Instead we are forced to tolerate an industry filled with stuff like this.
I agree but in one interview I saw she came across as stating she wrote the song. I’m not angry and ready to post hateful comments to her. I was just surprised she didn’t write it. That was not how I understood her to say.
