I have 4c hair and my hair has its own personality lol. At times I will use mousse on my hair. I will apply leave in conditioner, moisturizer, a light oil and mousse, in that order. Sometimes my results are great and sometimes not. I also think that it depends on the size of the twists which determines how defined your hair will be.
I think that your hair turned out good. Btw, I am not a stylist either but I still think that it looks good 💜

Team #4c here. You did good I say next time ditch the mousse and don't use as many products. I love twists and twist outs with my hair. I do it while wet use a spray leave in and grease and that's all. When taking it down don't rub the oil on your hair have it on your fingers and it helps.
