Challenger Sona Guide - Hry
As a former Sona main getting back into her post-rework (70% WR, 5 KDA, finally climbing out of diamond purgatory), I've got a couple of pedantic thoughts:
1) leveling up 3rd ability on lv3 is useless, it's much better to put another point into 1st or 2nd ability and then level up 3rd ability on lv4
2) I absolutely agree that harmonic echo is her biggest powerspike, HOWEVER: you'll notice that you didn't have the item until 5:30 (even with the Diana kill), after dragon, and not soon enough to get to herald. That's why I generally opt to take Tear+mana boots first bc I can always get the 2300 gold needed for those before drake/herald, but I can rarely get the 2700 for harmonic by then.
3) playing Sona without a tank on your team is really hard. If you have a tank to engage/be engaged upon, then Sona counterengages with her ult and then dominates the team fight. This is really why I love her now: it's like Seraphine's ult but then your entire team also becomes stronger, healthier, and faster.
4) I'd argue this game is an example of why playing *any* support aside from hard carries like Karma and Pyke can be so frustrating in solo queue. It would have been just as tilting to play Lulu, yuumi, soraka, Braum, blitz, Leona, etc in this game.

I CAN NOT play Sona after a very long day, for the stress from my dumb teammates. But I still love her. The rework is meh really... Have to WILL the team into victory with the "Deathball" formation.

I used to like her on desktop, but the game is slower, you get time to scale. I call her "the ambulance", as in you rush fast to heal. But I really don"t enjoy her on WR in solo Q. She's a late game, who needs to scale, in an environment where most people want to surrender after the first dragon is lost. I had fun in one late game, because the Gwen knew how to play with me and we did a late game demonic combo. But, yeah, I'm with you here. Maybe if you play with 4 people you know. And I'm not even sure.
As a sona player with 75% winrate this season with her, Her Mid to Late game now had been killed because of the Nerf of her Scaling Ap in her heal... Imagine removing 5% or 10% Ap scaling (Can't remember the numbers) in her heal making her dogshit now. The only thing I loved with this rework, It is now harder to target you and one shot you because of her Ult. Her ult could zone enemy in teamfight.
Just revert the Nerf in her 2nd and nerf in her 1st cuz that the only thing holding it back to be good in Early to Late game.
The tip I could give with this rework... Mind your positioning and Learn who is there main damage dealer and just throw her all stun to him.

The only good thing about her rework is the ult rework
But the removal of her old basic attack passive and replacing it with just a boring stun was the worst rework they ever gave to her. Why? Because they removed the best and unique thing about her that makes her different from other champions.
Now it just feels like im playing a ripoff lux and annie with sh%t stun and less shield.
"bUt hEr nEw StuN paSsIvE is gOoD" no it's not. If you know Sona she's not supposed to be a "sTun" champion. It's supposed to be based on her skills just like in her lore.
She has almost 60% winrate on masters + , if you think she is weak you just bad af

Bro, please dont make videos like this again. Highlighting failing teammates and saying Sona doesn't work is unrealistic...a lot of support picks would fail with these teammates. The rework is trash, but showcasing a trash game with trash teammates and saying your pick sucks is unrealistic and terrible content.

@@RiftGuidesWildRift Fair enough. she is def a lower tier/beginner champ, but the comment speaks more to ... why put out a vid you didn't enjoy playing or making... ? Usually you at least provide analysis of what can/should happen but this was literally a waste of your creative time and my viewing time. Your content is generally OUTSTANDING and I guess(?) you had a request for Sona...but such low effort content is below the standard you have set. No hate, no grief, just giving feedback.

I hate the way you play her. It would break me too. Of course she’s useless with a completely one dimensional build. Why HE as first item? You’re not even into 5v5s yet. This video makes me cringe.
