最主要是2軸E 400已經停產、所以香港各大巴士公司都要搵新型號巴士來代替E 400⋯⋯所以香港未來可能沒有2軸雙層巴士了、所以香港有些道路要做改善工程來適合行走11点3米3軸雙層巴士尤其是大嶼山的道路

So I assume more of this Man A95 will operate on Route 3M? The AD E400 MMCs are not strong and also too generic IMO, (given I live in HKI) so I like Scania/MAN/MCV-bodied Volvo buses more than Alexander Dennis
I think it largely depends on A95's performance in this period. NLB will anyways decide how to allocate the existing E400s which can be in surplus if replaced by the A95s. NLB may even try it on other routes via Tung Chung Road, e.g. 11 to Tai O. At least for now A35 is another route capable of using A95s.

It’s rare for this type of bus to be used on 3m but I tried before it was way more spacious but this bus not to common to ride on

Nope. The one you mentioned is 12m, not suitable for Tung Chung Road and Island south. NLB is inviting tenders for 11 (+another 11 optional) buses not exceeding 11.68m long, expected to be YN331's successors

Some reasons behind. E400's Cummins engine does not have enough low rpm torque to climb over Tung Chung Road in gear 2, and gear 1 is not supposed for long distance travel.
Thanks to the ZF gearbox and the torque-rich Man engine, the new A95 performed very well
currently. However, I still have doubts about the durability of the ZF gearbox, as the Voith gearbox is simpler and less geared than the ZF one.
@@MercedesBuses If the drivers are trained to hold gears while going uphills, then the gearbox won't have to work as hard. The problem with the Voith is that it does not allow the driver to control the rpm in first gear. So the driver is kind of forced to rev the engine high in order to get some decent speed in gear 1.

No matter how challenging it is, bus companies still have to deal with the shortage of bus captains. Using double deckers is at least a workable solution.
I'm not too concerned with the road conditions, as you can see they have been continuously getting improved. One more thing to note, NLB has not tested a proven model yet - 11.3m MMCs (the KMB Voith E6Ms).
About 20 years ago, we already had Leyland Victory MKII running in Lantua Island.
