Have you tried installing the Air Raid Offense, but don't know where to begin? Do you want to learn about the Air Raid Offense's passing concepts, yet don't know where to look online? Are you curious about Air Raid offensive schemes, but don't know what the concepts are called?
You're in luck. In today's CZcams Live Clinic, we will be talking with Coach Patrick Taylor. Coach Patrick Taylor learned the Air Raid Offenese from the Godfather of the Air Raid himself - Hal Mumme. Coach Taylor flew in Coach Mumme and had him teach the entire Air Raid Offense to his team.
Since that faithful meeting with Coach Hal Mumme, Coach Patrick Taylor has been studying and refining the Air Raid Offense at North Surry High School.
Coach Patrick Taylor has his own blog where he talks about the Air Raid Offense - www.coachpatricktaylor.com/

I love how he called the RB Wheel route "Gettin' real Dirty".
Keep it going Coach, learned a lot on this one especially on the running game. Gives a good perspective on making the run game effective.
I really liked how he broke down his o line blocking and the basketball theory
This was awesome! Real content!
One of your best. Thx
Thanks for the kind words sir.
You’re the man!
Stop it. You're going to make me blush. Haha
Loved this 👍👍👍 I’m always learning…love it.
Patrick is the man!
His concepts and knowledge are wise.
Yes sir they are. Coach Taylor is a smart man.
This guy is literally taking the thoughts from my mind 😳🤯🙂
Coach Taylor is the freaking man!
Coach, where is the Hudl breakdown blog on coach Taylor’s page? Or do you have that information?
This video is really good coach.. man if they'd let baker Mayfield run this with thise receivers and backs they have it would allow him to look way better than he does but this is why we're rooting the Kingsbury and kyler success ..keep the vids coming
Thanks coach. And thanks for watching.
Coach, do you have those breakdown coach Taylor talks about or a way to contact him for them? Thanks so much
most of my quick game I leave the running back in to check for the blitz then delay out is it better to just swing him now and make the qb read that 6th guy or leave him in to block first
It depends on whether or not you're doing quick game or drop back. For quick game I just send him out, but for drop back, unless he's in athe route I make the running back responsible for 2 players. If one comes he blocks them, if they both come there is nobody to cover him on a quick route like a flare or an angle or stick
Hi Coach.. great video. Talking about the run game.. anytime we are running a wrap play our OL uses the covered/ uncovered rule to determine who pulls. Even font OT pulls, odd front OG pulls.. not sure if you used a rule like this.. let me know what you use. thanks coach
What are some examples of the way you call 6 with tags?
Cocach coud you upload somewhere this table with analyzing the defense?
I'll pass it along
Can I get it also?
@@CoachMcKie Coach can you send me that table also?
can you sned me the table /breakdown
I know it’s somewhat similar, but what would you think about the idea of not even calling plays? Sounds crazy right. What I’m saying is that the Q is taught the various reactions that they’ll see based on the formation pre snap, ex; they leave the X one on one or they’re playing 2 over 3 with a safety high so there’s leverage, and then the Q has a set number of concepts/rpos that they call on the line based on their reaction. It’s not the exact same as you guys discuss because you aren’t actually calling a play, it’s all reaction based and it goes along with the saying “whoever has the chalk last wins” / “whoever shows their cards last wins”.
You could do it but it will take time and a lot of trust
Where do I find his books and website the links lead me to some ransom location
Why run both Stick and Corner if its the same read attacking the same pass zones?
6:31 morphs into backside of RnS choice
How does coach (or anybody else reading this) go about implementing an easy system for kids to understand what to do on a blitz
I've found a daily team blitz period works wonders
Anyone experience break up of the video at about the 29:50 mark? Lost the end of the pass protection discussion.
There was a little bit of break up. Sorry coach.
no worries .... just wanted to be sure it wasn't on my end.
Wait, Crestwood? As in Sumter SC? I also coach in SC.
How far are you from the town of Orangeburg????
@@dwightlove3704 where I’m at now, im more on the NC border. So say like 1hr30
@@dwightlove3704 i got sum players at state tho so im down there a good bit
@@RookieMistakeYT I'm watching their WR corps with Shaquan Davis I will be keeping my eyes on him from now on I saw NFL potential in him when he was a frosh after that 3 td catch performance vs Jackson St its confirmed what I thought he had when it came to talent.
@@RookieMistakeYT I wished that SCSU had this offensive concepts instead of the run-oriented Wing T they have now they also have some ppl who are proponents of the Run-N-Shoot on their coaching staff.
Coach, when people look at offenses they seem to have a general philosophy with the west coast emphasizing short efficient passes and air Coryell being a vertical offense. What would you say is the air raid's philosophy?
The Air Raid is like the West Coast offense on steroids.
Thanks for the reply coach!
Ah, does the ra gam, thi tak ab tre da, tay? I had my speakers on full blast and could not understand the main speaker!
Sorry
Wouldn't the objective in teaching coverages be throw it to the open man lol?
