The A220-300 is an incredible shortfield aircraft. It has a robust, taller landing gear that can swallow faster sink rates needed for shorter runways and would give you that aircraft-carrier type landing at demanding airports.
Sometimes you need a firmer touchdown: high crosswind, wet runway, short runway. Any time you need good traction for braking as soon as your wheels are touching. You don't want to be skidding sideways on a slippery or short runway right after you touch down.

EYW has a 5000 foot long runway so commercial airliners have to land hard there
They forgot to take the butter out of the fridge before trying to spread it 😂
That landing was so Ryanairish because he or she wouldn't slow down the airspeed😵😵😵
@@oluwawamirionakoya3287They cant the runway to to short they have yo land as soon as possible and as hard as possible to get traction for brakes
I love key West landings.
Soon to be underwater
Airliners flying to KEYW will most likely always slam down on the landing, its a very short runway.
Oh please! that wasn't that hard of a landing, Try landing at CHICAGO MIDWAY !
Kinda Ryanairish because if the pilot slammed the plane down on the runway he doesn't know how manage the soead level or the throttle
