I do like the lotus flower & the story of how it grows, kinda like how the Phoenix Rose From the Ashes, but I must say Rachel the lotus also resembles another flower that Im quite familiar with 🙄 ..lol in the end they're both a thing of beauty. Btw Rachel you have mail. 👍

Hi Rachel, I have a great tip for drawing symmetrical; for righthanded people, first draw the left side, right side last, for lefthanded people, first draw the right side, left side last. You will notice that your drawing hand will not block your sight when you're drawing the drawinghand side.

I did your hobbit door on a santorini stone and resined it, but the sparkles on the stone disappeared , but I do love working on this stone. The lotus flower is beautiful!
I guess there is a technique you can use using a satin spray in order to keep the sparkles in your Santorini Stone but I'm not sure how to do it.

In real time how long does it take for you to finish a small dotted rock? Do you put all your colors out before you begin?
Did you put the crystals on after you resined it? What kind of glue?

I noticed your left handed as well, and whether you know this, left handed ppl are very talented ppl not only do we view things a little more intensively, we also have acute hearing to hear & play music better & we're the only ones in our right mind...lol. I was wondering the same thing about the rhinestones! Do you use glue before resin or while the paints wet...idk either.🤔
Always wait until the resin is dry and add the crystals using super glue! 😁

Does the Resin make the sparkles in the stone go away.....Someone told me to never seal a Santorini stone because you will lose the sparkle.....Thanks
You can still see the sparkle under certain lights with resin. Apparently there are ways by spraying matte sealer from farther away but I've never tried that technique, not a fan of harmful spray sealants!!!
