We're squid fishing on the Port Vincent breakwater on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. It is a great fishing and eging location with easy access and some great opportunity to catch squid and a range of fish species including whiting, flathead, salmon, leather jackets and more. On this trip the squid were on the chew and I also had a run in with a larger fish that absolutely chomped my 4" Zman Mud MinnowZ in half... I'm still not sure what it was!
Later in the early evening, we move spots to the Port Vincent local wharf where we catch a flathead and some tommy ruff's. Unfortunately, my GoPro light was flat so I couldn't capture this footage but you get to see the results at the end.
Port Vincent is a picturesque fishing location and is a must try for any keen eging and squid fun. I've also caught snook, flathead, tommy ruff (Australian Herring) and whiting here in the past. It was a great days fishing and I was able to get a good feed of squid and fish to catch and cook back home.
If you are looking for a great squid fishing spot on Yorke Peninsula then be sure to give the Port Vincent Breakwater a go, especially on the incoming tide on dawn or sunset.

Good one Matt. Nice catch of squid and fish. We've fished there before and stayed 3 or 4 days. Caught lots of tommies there. Probably head back there late November when the crabs are on as well

S.factor on the squid jigs m8 better hook up rate
I have thought about that in the past... Can squid smell? I'll give it a go. The S Factor really does get them going. I tried the Pro Cure but found S Factor works much better. Do you agree?
