    Gov. Ibrahim Shekarau always thrills me with his power of communication. I kept watch of his administration as gov of Kano State though I am from the Western part of the country. Then I observed that he had free-rancorous administration but I did not know the secret behind it. Now with his explanation, I now have the full grasps of how he did it. He is a man I always respect!
    Above all, he is a man of courage and good demeanor.

    • @MuhammadSani97
      @MuhammadSani97 Před 27 dny

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Senator Ibrahim Shekarau. I completely agree his communication skills are truly impressive, and his leadership in Kano State had a significant impact. Beyond his ability to clearly express his vision, he was deeply committed to education, which was a major focus during his time in office. He introduced the Tsangaya Education system, which aimed to blend Islamic and Western education, giving many children in Kano better access to learning opportunities. During his tenure, he also put a strong emphasis on maintaining peace and stability in the state. His inclusive approach to governance, where he made sure to engage with various communities and listen to their concerns, might be part of the "secret" behind the smooth administration you mentioned. He always prioritized the well-being of the people, earning him respect not just in Kano, but in other regions as well. As you pointed out, his courage and good demeanor continue to stand out, even beyond his time as governor. It's always inspiring to see leaders who genuinely care about the progress of their people, and he is definitely one of those.

The present unitary constitution favours the North and they want it to remain. The government should implement the 2014 constitutional conference report or the Aburi accord on confederation.

    What the guest is saying is absolutely correct. However, we have seen the president interact with all stakeholders in the country-governors, members of the national assembly, religious leaders and traditional leaders but the missing party in all of these are the direct opposition party candidates who have never been seen either vising the president or appearing in the same event. They have good ideas on how to move the country forward or advise on one on one basis whenever possible on matters of interest to the nation, politics aside. These individuals do not attend national events such as independence day celebration or any events in honor of the armed forces rather they will like to hold side events where they will criticize the administration. Until politicians in Nigeria realize that the political parties are just platforms to compete in an election and that moving the country forward is everybody's responsibility, the bitterness after elections will ever continue in the country. Some of the opposition party supporter come on the national media to characterize the president and the administration as illegitimate without any caution from the leaders. How can the political system in a country survive with such attitude? With regards to the fuel subsidy removal, whether the president announced it or not on his inauguration day or not is not the issue. At some point he would have had to say something about it because it was not in the 2023 budget. It was a matter of turning down the expectation of those thinking the subsidy is on even after the deadline of June 30th. It is unfair for anyone to think that for the last fourteen months the administration has not made any efforts to address the fuel subsidy removal impact.

    Ask your governors and LGA chairmen what they are doing with increased funds President Tinubu sent to states and LGAs. Nigeria will not change until you demand accountability from leaders at federal, state, LGA levels...

    Imagine if the youths can go to the 36 states and work with state governments to effectively spend increased monthly allocations given to them after President Tinube canceled the UNSUSTAINABLE fuel subsidy, he redirected some of the money to states for development in health, education, industry, etc) But these are youths that specialize in making noise online, not in solving problems

    Tinubu is a Yoruba president, it’s very hard for the Kabba to accept that things has to change, nothing last forever
    Buhari don sell and finish the whole country. His family and his Fulani looted the country to penny. Tinubu need to understand that all these money being spend by small part of people, for their selfish end. There will be accountability soon

    Shekarau sir Yaradua is a president from the north hence you can give him support, the north protest against Jonathan and never did against Buhari despite the perceived bad economy.
    The governors are well carried along under Asiwaju than any other president they got more allocation and I think the problem with them is their greed to eat deep into local government allocation no matter what good Asiwaju did they will never be happy with him challenging the status quo.

    Government should be asked at the being able to be questioned by the people if you are out of the country and not on business you just out on pleasure and spending money which is the taxpayers money which is the citizens money then you should be asked why nowhere does it state that you need 100 cars or 100 limousines And brand new tires for all of them their brand new where is it that you’re supposed to have all of these all these brand new pieces of jewelry and a whole new outfit a new villa and the people are starving but you throw away food your table is fully set up everything that is edible and the people don’t have nothing to eat There are no jobs so they can have anything to eat. Factories are closed down that would give the people some work to do. You have doctors and lawyers nurses teaches no schools are being built no hospitals for the people no medicine no no research. no nothing then something is wrong, something is wrong with the government and then you turn around and give yourself a big fat healthy raise and pay. The people still haven’t got anything but another tax that’s not good governing that’s foolishness that’s not being confident of the office that you are in that’s not taking care of your country, that’s not doing any of those things. Why did you live in a life of luxury while your country is eating garbage and then they don’t have jobs but you got 1000 limousines to choose from to ride you don’t have to worry about putting gas in them because all you do is pull up and the taxpayers have to pay to fill up your limousines, come on the money up state that people got to turn around and try to pay for which will wind up being for the next four generations will have to come out from under that debt. Why aren’t you doing your own refinery? Why aren’t you trying to grow your own food, while allowing foreign countries and foreign foreign companies and what have you to come in mine your natural resources and give you pittance to the mouth that they are stealing and it’s all right with you why can’t you try to correct some of that it takes for you to read your contract and if your contracts are on our 5:21
