Dear God!! How many tears must we shed because of the cruelty perpetrated on innocent animals by human demons who live among us. Our hope lies in the loving rescuers like the staff of Stray Rescue of St. Louis, who nurse these precious animals to health, and find them the loving homes they deserve. Well, what are we to do? Educate those around us, connect with law enforcement, petition them to become more involved in finding the perpetrators and prosecute them for their crimes. Cruelty to animals should not be a misdemeanor! Finally, support the rescue groups. We cannot compensate them for their devotion, but we can support their extraordinary work. Consider a monthly donation, even small amounts are indispensable. Become a rescuer yourself, adopt, Young or old, it will change your life!

Wonderful family for this sweet dog. It’s amazing how so many dogs like this ,who have been through these horrible situations, seem to ooze dignity and wisdom. Especially the pit bulls, for some reason. If only she could talk! We have a pit that my husband found abandoned, emaciated, and had horrible mange. She is the sweetest dog we have ever had, and the best with our 9 grandchildren. At times, the look in her eyes seems beyond what a dog should be able to communicate. Love, love ,love this breed! 💕💕💕
FIVE DAYS!! It's amazing how people have the ability to turn away from an "uncomfortable" situations like rescue ads on TV, OR A DOG SCREAMING IN A YARD FOR FIVE DAYS! This dog was NOT invisible, just unimportant and possibly inconvenient for the "lovely" people of the "compassionate" neighborhood.
The only reason that I think humanity is not lost are people like you 💝💝💝 I will never understand why humans could be so heartless and cruel. This are living beings and they all deserve a great home and their days filled with love and fun 💜🐾💜🐾💜

Diseno is such a beautiful, sweet dog. I wiah I had seen this video when it came out in 2015. So happy she was rescued. This man rescuing her had so much compassion and you could see the anguish in his eyes at the pain Diseno had to endure. Her eye looks good and she was able to walk normally again. Wow! All the wonderful care she received. So happy this lady saw Diseno's story and had to adopt her. Diseno looks so happy in her forever home with a loving family and puppy siblings. I can't help but ask what is wrong with the people who heard this suffering dog crying out in pain for 5 days? How can they live with themselves? How would they feel if one of their pets was in that position and no one helped? And the police officer was told by a neighbor that she was there, lying in the grass,, screaming in pain for 5 days? Maybe the police officer could do some neighhood education about calling for help in these instances. I doubt if it would help. If all those people could ignore Diseno's cries all that time then they won't change.

I've trapped feral/stray cats that were injured/sick to take to a vet or run after a pidgeon that needed vet help only to have ppl stop and laugh at me or think I'm some kind of nut. My focus was on helping the animal. If there was a possibility of saving even one that makes it all worth it.
I appreciate your love, tour kindness, and understanding of these breeds. I love the breed b cause there always given a negative vibe from people who actually don't understand or can control them. Pitbulls are one of the smartest most loyal and trustworthy breeds to man kind.......

I'm so excited and happy to say that my family has made the decision to adopt one of your rescues. We put in an app inquiring about 6 of your furbabies and we are looking forward to giving one a furever home and a lifetime of love! I would take them all if I could!!! You are doing an amazing thing and I will be a lifelong follower and supporter of your organization!
I rescued a staffy that was shot three times. Once in the head. Once in the leg that shattered the joint. He was a mess. Couldn’t walk his balance was so bad he would fall run into walls but it took me about 9 months of working with him he regained most of mobility. Saved his leg the vet wanted to amputate it but I said let’s see what I can do first. He’s turned out to be a great sweet loving dog I’m so glad my wife talked me into going to the vet and getting him from the humane society. So he was found shot on someone’s porch they thought he was hit by a car. Humane society picked him up and realized he was shot took him to my vet and his story was on FB. I went to the vet the next day to see him and we bonded right away. He called the humane society and took him home. It was a lot of time and work and he seems happy. Dogs are very resilient it’s amazing what they can bounce back from.
What a beautiful sweet dog. How can anyone do this to another living creature? Whoever did this, God knows who you are, and you will pay. Don’t worry, your day will come!

I saw this video for the first time today. It made me cry. I cried for the inhumanity of what Diseno went through; how no one helped her for those 5 days. I cried for the compassion and love of Stray Rescue and the family who adopted her. I cannot believe that there are people who are SO hardened by life that the screams of an animal in pain draws indifference. May God help them because they need it. Thank you to everyone who had a part in her recovery. Each and every one of you are amazing!

I love this story. We have been fortunate to have a rescue American Bulldog. She showed up with a broken hip and leg and parvo. She was a puppy. My mother called me at work and said son, I found Bud, which was our other bulldog a friend. I named him bud because I work at Budweiser..lol. We nursed the new puppy to health and she has been apart of the family since. Unfortunately we lost Bud, a year ago. She missed her friend and was sad for a very long time. This story almost makes me want to adopt another one of these little guys. Dogs are one of many Of Gods great gifts to us. Thank you for saving this precious animal.

I am a dog lover first and foremost. But I am a pit bull advocate. People don’t know how loving these dogs can be. And I would love to be a foster if I lived closer.

I've seen a lot of rescue vids but this one is special. Shot and left for 5 days unable to move in horrible pain and scared as can be....still a will to live and hoping someone will help her!! Wow! That's a wonderful, super special sweet, loving dog.

I've trapped feral/stray cats that were injured/sick to take to a vet or run after a pidgeon that needed vet help only to have ppl stop and laugh at me or think I'm some kind of nut. My focus was on helping the animal. If there was a possibility of saving even one that makes it all worth it.
I appreciate your love, tour kindness, and understanding of these breeds. I love the breed b cause there always given a negative vibe from people who actually don't understand or can control them. Pitbulls are one of the smartest most loyal and trustworthy breeds to man kind.......

It is a *gift* to be able to give this poor sweetheart the love that she deserves. Bless you all.
I rescued a staffy that was shot three times. Once in the head. Once in the leg that shattered the joint. He was a mess. Couldn’t walk his balance was so bad he would fall run into walls but it took me about 9 months of working with him he regained most of mobility. Saved his leg the vet wanted to amputate it but I said let’s see what I can do first. He’s turned out to be a great sweet loving dog I’m so glad my wife talked me into going to the vet and getting him from the humane society. So he was found shot on someone’s porch they thought he was hit by a car. Humane society picked him up and realized he was shot took him to my vet and his story was on FB. I went to the vet the next day to see him and we bonded right away. He called the humane society and took him home. It was a lot of time and work and he seems happy. Dogs are very resilient it’s amazing what they can bounce back from.

I saw this video for the first time today. It made me cry. I cried for the inhumanity of what Diseno went through; how no one helped her for those 5 days. I cried for the compassion and love of Stray Rescue and the family who adopted her. I cannot believe that there are people who are SO hardened by life that the screams of an animal in pain draws indifference. May God help them because they need it. Thank you to everyone who had a part in her recovery. Each and every one of you are amazing!

I love this story. We have been fortunate to have a rescue American Bulldog. She showed up with a broken hip and leg and parvo. She was a puppy. My mother called me at work and said son, I found Bud, which was our other bulldog a friend. I named him bud because I work at Budweiser..lol. We nursed the new puppy to health and she has been apart of the family since. Unfortunately we lost Bud, a year ago. She missed her friend and was sad for a very long time. This story almost makes me want to adopt another one of these little guys. Dogs are one of many Of Gods great gifts to us. Thank you for saving this precious animal.
i will never get over the cruelty of some people. im so glad & happy that this gorgeous baby has been fixed after suffering so badly & is now with a loving family of humans & other fur babies. she deserves all the love in the world & more. thank you for saving her & promising that she will be safe forever

I am a dog lover first and foremost. But I am a pit bull advocate. People don’t know how loving these dogs can be. And I would love to be a foster if I lived closer.
How nasty are those neighbors to sit and listen to that and allow a living being to go through that pain when all they had to do was make 1 phone call for help!!! Shame on all of them!!!! Randy is an angel as always and Diseno couldn’t have gotten a better forever family!!!!!! Soo happy how this turned out.
