Such a simple and yet very informative video. I have been trying to figuthis all out untill now. Thankx ma.
Great video! Awesome advice👍🏻
Just to add a slight correction, tracked package USA can go up to 2KG. It use to be 1 KG but it was changed about a year or so ago.
Letter mail is the best way to ship small packages! I have a small business and it’s saved me and my customers so much money on shipping. I ship everywhere within Canada and have never paid over $4. Everything else is so much more money. Only downside is you don’t get tracking info
OH MY GOD you just made my day. I am starting a press on nail business. However, the most I have ever done with postage is sending a letter to santa like 20 years ago.
You are so right, as a starting out business, I want to spend the least amount on shipping. I also didn't know if I wanted to be dealing with the professional shipping labels. I just want to send 10 small tiny nails!
starting a new business is difficult, I'm dealing with the same issue with shipping. how's your business going?~
Amazing thanks!!
got my sub. huge help 🔥🔥👍
Very informative. We are sending ~100 packages per day using OS $1.94 stamps. Caveat that these items do not exceed $9.99 in value, so we are pretty much “insuring” our own packages and taking the loss if they get loss or if the client makes a claim for late deliveries.
Add that volume to our other shipments fulfilled by a 3PL, and we were able to open a commercial account with Canada Post. Very competitive rates for parcels.
If you want to save 10 cents per shipment Canada Post does allow two Permanent 'P' stamps (currently valued at $0.92) to equal one Oversized Lettermail stamp.
Can you print Canada Post postage off of eBay and get your small business rate?
@gavendano92 What do you mean by this
What a great video
Our flat rate is bonkers
Also thank you so much for this video! I’m a new reseller and shipping is so confusing to me.
the different package sizing you showed does Canada post provide those at the store for whatever your shipping?
Just fell on your page and subscribed! Would you said that Canada post is the cheapest and best for shipping dry good to and outside of Canada?
I like to know why I can't print a shipping label on eBay to ship an item to Australia
Are there any updates since this video? Especially regarding ebays global shipping program
How much does shipping t-shirts cost? Thanks for the video bro
What are the rates for the small packages to the USA? The envelopes had great info on cost, but the USA small package did not.
I'm completely new , brown Panda liquidation, I'm just a dude from bc, who wants into to market, I'd love to chat with ya bud . Your vid is awesome, I thank you
Hello
Can you provide an update for 2024 shipping using Canada Post?
My problem is I have many psa xbox game, blue rays movies, and many trading card's that I want to sell, But not sure what's the cheapest way to do this thought Canada and the USA
I tried sending through oversized mail and the refused it at the counter. I also asked their twitter around and they said only paper items... Should I try again? It was to USA, and it fit. the item was fabric. (edit: or maybe was it because it was to US?? So I needed a declartion form?)
can i send iphone 10 to hong kong post office, but why they return my parcel due to its iphone 10??? any other solution to send iphone to hong kong from canada??
Great video common lad How much do you charge to ship video games to US
Usually around $10
I want send parcel from Montreal qubec to Kingston Ontario of 5kg . How do i send within cheap price? How much it will cost ?can i send it through canada post
what websites?
If I go to canada post website and estimate a rate for a basic hardcover book from my location (eastern canada) to International, Russia for example, it literally costs $70+ WITHOUT a tracking number or insurance. WTF. impossible to run any sort of buisness with these fking stupid shipping prices. hopefully this video can help me!
You need to consider other options. Canada Post isn't the end all be all of shipping
@@AnonAnono what do you find is the most economical shipping methods within Canada and international?
@@jordanmercier3616 this fully depends on your location. You can use a shipping broker service to figure it out.
i cant find anything under $20
When listing an item, it asks for the dimensions, so I put in the dimensions of what I guess the size box may be (shoe box size or so) and the costs seems a lot. Iike 18-35 dollars. Does this seem normal? How do I choose the standard box size? Where it’s just one price? Thanks
Using eBay
hi there, what flat rate for video games do you use for the states
thanks!
All of these cases are with a business account right? Example flat rate being more
Anyone can open a business account
Fedex could be alot cheaper on certain items.
I have others ways to save on shipping with Canada Post and other carriers, how can I contact you ?
Hope he gets back to you would love to hear them ❤
Does oversized letter mail come with tracking?
No, if you want tracking, depending on destination and weight, you could send oversized mail with registered mail or upgrade to Xpresspost or Priority.
the 3.19$ for between 100-200g is that one single stamp that costs 3.19$ or is it something else ? My post canada tells me to put 2 x 1.94$ stamps for packages between 100-200g
The best combinations are a $1.94 and a $1.30 or 3 $1.07 stamps. I’ve never combined 2 $1.94 cause then it’s way more per package.
based on my understanding, this service can be done without tracking. Is this true?
Can you do more research about sending oversized Lettermail to the US from Canada? Do you think we can obtain a customs form at our local Post Office? Just curious. Thanks for sharing. 😊
You can obtain paper customs forms from the post office, but that isn't going to help you. Lettermail and parcels are two different classes of shipment; parcels not only require a customs declaration, but they also require what is called "Advanced Electronic Data", meaning the customs information has to be attached electronically the parcel so it can be more easily processed at customs. There is no way to electronically attach customs data to a Lettermail item.
So while you can go ahead and attach a paper customs form to a Lettermail item, it's not going to do you any good. In fact it's more likely to result in your item being returned to you because by applying the customs form you're just making it blatantly obvious to the people sorting the mail that the contents are not eligible for Lettermail. If you insist on sending goods internationally via Oversized Lettermail just make it look as much like a regular letter as possible - don't do anything to draw attention to the fact that it contains merchandise. Even though it isn't allowed, many things will make it through just fine simply because no country's customs office has the time or manpower to manually inspect all the Lettermail entering or exiting a country.
Canada Post used to have small green customs stickers for OS and small packet. It is crazy that small packet does not have tracking for the price. 😡
Why haven't you covered Chit Chats?
how do you manage to keep a top rated seller and still ship without providing tracking? I am from Ukraine and arrived to canada thanks for the answer
In Canada you don't need tracking to be a top rated seller. I would recommend still using tracking on more expensive items however.
I shipped two parcels yesterday, each in a 4x7x1" thick bubbler mailer (220 grams). One to Ontario and one to Florida (this is coming from British Columbia). Exact same price ($18) because Canada Post said that the one wouldn't fit through the oversized letter slot going to Ontario. If it did, the shipment to Ontario was going to be $5! Their slot is 0.800" and the component I need to send is 0.720" (plus packaging thickness). Any ideas on getting around this price jump?
No workaround. It's called the slot of doom for a reason
Nope. You can beat them at their own game.
@@canuckgirl1624 go on..?
with the canada post system we have now, there's no way to get around that. there's no way around the slot. however can buy your own slot measuring template on ebay for 10 bucks or make your own so you can test it at home before you go to the post office. try different types of packaging to make it fit like a thin jewery box.
man canada post they never delivered my package yet i think one of them employees have sticky fingers i’ve been waiting fucking god damn week already for a package christmas is fucked thanks to canada post for losing my mail in the system i’m losing my trust with them
Im really confused on finding out the flat rate for a bubble mailer. I select Canada Post mailer and on eBay it doesn't give me a price. Do I have to go on Canada Post website and calculate and whatever amount they give me is what i charge the buyer? Also what about shipping to the US, is it the same thing
any update?
thank you, tired of usps videos doesnt help Canadians at all lol
Anything over 50 bucks I do tracked
How much do you charge for shipping for something like a video game? And have you noticed sales are slower if have higher cost shipping?
@@LMon15 i honestly don't sell a lot of games but all mine I have are 5 bucks flat letter mail.
@@willyhoogs fair enough. Never know if I should do tracked for the more expensive games since it does add quite a bit to the cost.
blah blah blah get to the point
terrible review jesus I know what express shipping is
Sorry dude I won't give a thumbs up just because English is my fourth language and you speak so fast , so 👻👻I had to listen to some sentences several times to understand what you're saying as fast as a machine gun ,,
