Prague (Czech: Praha /ˈpra.ɦa/) is the capital and largest city of Czechia, Bohemia. Located in the heart of central Europe, in the west of the country, the city is built on the banks of the Vltava (in German: Moldau).
Historical capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia, cradle of the Czech people, Prague reached its peak in the 14th century, under the reign of the King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, who made it the capital of the Empire.
Prague, “the magical capital of Europe”, as André Breton wrote, has the ability to transport those who discover it to the heights of a romantic environment. It is indeed a city imbued with magic, not only by the legendary presence of alchemists in the 16th century, but above all by the trace of several cultures which have intertwined within its walls, notably that of the Jewish community very present in the district. of Josefov, in the old town.
Nestled in the meanders of the Vltava, in turn royal city, imperial city, sleepy provincial town then resurgent capital of a modern state, Prague has carved out an image as the mother of cities, accumulating in successive layers an architectural and artistic heritage incomparable.
The music of Mozart, Dvořák and Smetana bathes the places where you walk in Prague with their notes. Against a backdrop of clinking glasses, cafes still remember the wild debates of artists and intellectuals who reconnect with their past confiscated by more powerful neighbors. The shadow of the Golem looms, in the evening, on the walls of the Jewish city and its cemetery. If Kafka's silhouette still haunts the stairs leading up to Prague Castle, the disturbing ghosts of Stalinism have fortunately deserted the corridors of the presidential palace.
The Old Town Hall was established in 1338 as the seat of the Old Town administration. The oldest part of the complex consists of the southern wing a beautiful Gothic tower with a bay chapel and a unique astronomical clock - known as the Orloj - where, every hour between 9 am and 11 pm, the twelve apostles appear. The Gothic Revival eastern wing of the Town Hall was destroyed during the Prague Uprising on May 8, 1945 and was never rebuilt.
Prague is a city steeped in history with attractions such as the Castle and Old Town Square, or places that tell stories at every turn like the Jewish Cemetery and Charles Bridge. Discover with me all the places to see in Prague! 🤗

Within 10 years, I visited Prague 3 times, and each time it was a new discovery. The Mauldau that runs under the bridge is pure revery. Talking about Smetana's famous composition 'Die Mauldau ', when I listen to that music, it brings back beautiful memories, of unforgettable times. Indeed, Prague is te most beautiful city in the whole world.

na Karlově mostě se různých míst na sousoších turisté dotýkají, protože si myslí, že jim to přinese štěstí nebo splní přání. Jsou to ale jen pověry, které se nezakládají na pravdě. Bohužel tím památky ale velmi trpí. Začne to dělat jeden, uvidí to druhý, třetí atd. Nepomohou ani cedule "nedotýkat se". Nevychovaní a drzí lidé dokonce vylezou na sochu a poničí ji. Stává se to často. Podobně jako někdo začne uzamykat visací zámek na krásném kovaném zábradlí. Že prý z lásky. Je to nesmysl. A když už visí těch zámků na zábradlí stovky, tak jsou těžké a opět trpí krásné zábradlí. Děje se to například u sochy Karla lV. u kterého jste se zastavil, než jste vešel na Karlův most.
Jen pro zajímavost. Jestli jste si všiml na zemi vyznačeného místa v kamenné dlažbě, když jste stál na Staroměstském náměstí před kostelem Panny Marie před Týnem. Prochází tudy Pražský poledník - podle něhož byl v minulosti řízen pražský čas. Přeji vám spoustu dalších inspirativních míst na natočení podobných videí. Eva

I visited Czech Republic 42 years ago ,stay 3 month. Is the most beautiful country I ever visited. Beautiful women, handsome man , they eat lots of greasy food , don’t say please and thank you!

Beautiful, I was in Prague 20 years. This city was not touched on 2nd world war, the same protected like Krakow in Poland. Germany kept them for after war for them. But they don’t won the horrible war.

Praga, es una ciudad muy hermosa, sus monumentos, su arquitectura, todo es historia; muy limpia, conservan con esmero todos los lugares, las calles adoquinadas en perfecto estado; las iglesias son centros de arte. Los castillos guardan muchísima historia, la gastronomía increible, el comercio es hermoso. Los puentes sobre el rio Moldava son de mucha recordación.

Gdyby Warszawa nie została zburzona w czasie II wojny światowej, byłaby równie piękna.
Bellissimo video. Da bambina mio padre mi parlava con grande entusiasmo della" Città d'Oro". Andava a Praga da ragazzo in visita a degli zii. Da adulta ho potuto finalmente andarci. Ne sono rimasta incantata. Ogni palazzo, ogni chiesa, ogni angolo di strada ha la sua storia di secoli. Cosa dire del suo castello con storie anche macabre,e della via degli alchimisti. La leggenda dice che chi accarezza sul ponte Carlo le figure ai piedi dei Santi, vedrai avverarsi ogni suo desiderio. Visitarla nel silenzio della notte e' una esperienza magica indimenticabile. La carne che arrostiva sullo spiedo e' il famoso prosciutto di Praga dal gusto molto particolare. E per finire dappertutto si respira cultura e bellezza. Grazie.

Apasionantemente bella arquitectura. Preciosos comercios; Calzadas de piedra; coches tirados por caballos, estatuas, relojes...todo muy hermoso. Me gustaría conocerla y fotografiarla. Es indudable que está muy preparado y cuidado todo para atraer al turismo. Me gusta eso. Quisiera ver cómo es el resto de Praga. Deseo que ninguna guerra futura la afecte en lo más minimo, al igual que a las demás ciudades de Europa. No más crímenes contra la cultura y la humanidad. Родители были в Праге,Карловых варах,в Польше в Варшаве, вещи,украшения нам привозили с сестрой... =ещё в 1973 году...а теперь их самих уже нет...красивые места!

I love Prague. I have been there twice. Something about Prague is different from other eastern European cities. It's really a beautiful city. I would definitely go back again.

Its maybe because of Prague is not "eastern european" city, its classical central-western european city, as Czech lands were part of western world except perion 1948-1989.

This was my everyday. I had the good fortune to live in Prague for three years during the early 2000’s. I lived at Novy Svet, Hradcany in a beautiful 500 year old house behind Prague Castle (cobbled streets, gas street lights and nightingales which sang on summer nights). I’ve lived all over Europe but Prague was special and will always remain special.
Western Bohemia is also very beautiful. Karlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne and Franciskovy Lazne. These were the famous spa towns favoured by the European aristocracy Carlsbad, Marianbad and Francisbad. They are well worth visiting as is the city of Hlep.

Город сказка! Много готики и барокко, вылезано всё и фасады зданий и тротуары, туристов тьма, а чистота в городе идеальная, была в Праге 17 лет назад и больше не удалось, а жаль!

Прага/- сказочный город.Но к сожалению сейчас очень грязный и дурнопахнущий.Вечером много пьяных и обкуренных людей.Даже было страшно гулять.Была в сентябре 2023 года.

Multumesc din suflet pentru filmare!A fost extraordinara!Am vizitat Praga cu multi ani in urma,cu ghidul in mana,8-10 ore pe zi timp de vreo 10 zile.Am rămas fermecată pe viata de frumusețea și istoria ei.Am retrăit vizita de atunci.Acum e mult mai aglomerată turistic,dar la fel de uluitoare.Multumesc ca mi-ati readus în suflet splendoarea Praga de aur!

J'y suis allée et c'est une très belle ville et surtout la place de la vieille ville. Il y a une bonne ambiance et les gens sont gentils on a dormi chez l'habitant un prof de physique trop accueillant
I passed St. Nicholas Church in Prague's Malá Strana very day but I never went inside. Thanks for showing the beauty in the church.

I lived in Prague 2010-2019 and it was the most wonderful time of my life. Going back soon, hopefully. I miss it so much.
