    This was a fantastic review, I really loved it and it almost made me go ahead and get the deck . 😆
    I am still very much in two minds on this one. The Devil is one of my favourite devil cards but then there are other cards I’m just not so sure of, especially within the minor cards. It’s on my wishlist but I haven’t yet decided either way.

      Haha, sorry Heather! If the card stock was to my taste then this would be in my top 5 decks for sure. I’d be happy to loan it to you to try if you like. Message me on Facebook x

    Yess! I've seen a few images of this so it's nice to see all of the cards. The box is really lovely. I am absolutely obsessed with all of Julia Iredale's cards (the trippy ones with the eyes and hands everywhere), I'm going to have to look her up.

    I really like this interpretation of the Emperor card. It gives the feeling of conservation. I sense the willingness to protect the old way of doing things and trying to connect the past and the future with traditional wisdom. The tattoos on his body depicts how he cares about the knowledge and beliefs that have been passed on to him throughout generations and he hold them close to his heart and he will never let go of them.

    Does applying powder to the cards make them less glossy or more blurry? I like the deck to spread easily too but I don't want to ruin the visual stunningness of it.

    • @JessicaandtheMoon
      @JessicaandtheMoon  Před 5 lety

      It doesn’t affect the imagery at all. It just kind of dries the stickiness and then wipes off.

  • @FarahWayAstrologyandTarot

    Some decks I just "click" with, if that makes sense. This was one of the decks. I find the nontraditional take on the cards thought provoking, challenging, but not too challenging. The coloration, backs, made by 4 women, (4 is an important number for me). The emperor is my Aries card, my sun sign. I remember talking to a psychic or card reader, can't remember, but she told me I am in a 4 stage, before I knew anything about the number 4. This person was unusual to me also because, when I had to pay I didn't have to exact amount and she didn't have the change. She told me not to worry, she knew I would come back with the money and I did. Sorry, long side note. Back to the cards, sometimes, there is an intangible quality to something or someone that makes all the difference, and is hard to put into words.

    • @JessicaandtheMoon
      @JessicaandtheMoon  Před 5 lety +1

      ❤️ it makes total sense! Yes, the deck is close enough to RWS to be easy to read with but different enough to add so many more layers of interpretation. I love it!
      Fascinating about your 4 connection. 2020 is a 4 year 💖

  • @Rexinathatsme

    Wow, this is lovely! I'm pretty new to tarot and don't want my collection to be overwhelming, but how is this for a beginner in tarot? I've been reading for 6 months and know the basic RWS meanings.... I'm so in love with the imagery. Reminds me of some of my favorite board games!

    • @JessicaandtheMoon
      @JessicaandtheMoon  Před 3 lety

      I think if you already know the basic RWS and you love the imagery then this would be a perfect deck! It's accessible and the imagery is so layered and rich that it's easy to let it speak directly to your intuition.
      Let me know what you think if you do decide to get it. I absolutely love this deck but don't see many other people talking about it on CZcams.
      Blessings on your path

      @@JessicaandtheMoon Thank you so much for answering! :) Hope you had a blessed ostara. Yes, I did get this deck and it arrived on friday, how amazing is that! :) I LOVE the deck so far. I actually feel it's my soul deck: I've had several dreams about it before arraval and now that it's here, I feel like it have come home... Also it speaks to me like no other decks have ever done. It speaks volumes! Also the color and animals are used in a clever way, I think.
      A fun fact is that my dad actually went to a University in Vancouver, and I've visited both the city and the some of the locations where the inspiration of the card is drawn from (like the Victoria island). This would be a deep dive deck for me, and I can't wait to study the deck and make a personal companion book to go with the deck. I'm super exited!
      Blessings on your path

    What kind of powder did you use to make the cards less sticky? Like flour?

    • @JessicaandtheMoon
      @JessicaandtheMoon  Před 3 lety

      Yes, flour would work. I used talcum powder. Any fine powder that isn't too grainy so it doesn't damage the cards.

    What do you mean that the strengh card is your "birth card" ?

    • @JessicaandtheMoon
      @JessicaandtheMoon  Před 3 lety

      I mean it is the card that is my life path/ birth card based on numerology. Everyone has a number that their birthdate reduces to, between 1 and 9, that corresponds to a tarot card. There are a few different methods of calculating it, I use the one in Greer's Tarot for Yourself. it's been a potent touchstone for me.

    • @JessicaandtheMoon
      @JessicaandtheMoon  Před 4 lety +1

      dEvOUr mE there is so much debate about cardstock lately I’m hesitant to recommend any 😄 people have different opinions on what is matte. Personally I see it as a completely non shiny linen kind of finish, but some would argue decks like everyday witch are matte because they are not shiny or coated.
