If you make a game it sells 1 million copies but 80 thousand people get a refund you still sold 920 thousand copies and you more than likely made a profit. Then you have Microtransactions these days in most triple A titles and that makes up for the 80k people who refunded the game.

this game reminds me of one I played on Newgrounds (long time ago, cant remember the name), a Mario style side scroller with the same premise, one life and you can never play again (if you didn't know the trick). every time you came back you see a video of ether a stagnate image of where you died to the "bowser" being arrested because of an unsafe establishment
I feel this gives the game a more death feeling and deepness like its completely over
