I grew up in church. My dad was the director of choir and orchestra. We sang this song (master) as a choir. I am 49 grew up in Germany so I grew up with this old style music and I love it. Great memories. I am a Russian German baptist. So for hundreds of years people in Russia America and else where people were praising the Lord by singing these songs. Thanks alot for keeping this alive.
@@davidliles87Sadly, a large majority are going that way. I have been playing for 30 years, and I will not participate in a church that allows that garbage in. Stick with the old stuff.
@@PublickMinistryI’m the same way. I’ve been playing “old” hymns in church since I was in the third grade (early 1970’s). I only play at “old” churches so I can play the hymns. Some contemporary music is ok but, for the most part, the new stuff is extremely repetitive praise and worship songs with a secular loud rock concert feel.
As a child hearing this and learning to sing as the basses in the choir sang out the lead still thrills me and I'm 89...thank for refreshing my memory!
It's a beautiful blessing to hear your wonderful, God-given talents, praising the Lord Jesus with beautiful piano hymns🎹!!! Thank you for caring to share your faith in Jesus Christ!! 💖
So refreshing to hear music so pure and from the soul. What a contrast from the worship music of today. Thank you so much for brining life to my weary soul.
Yes, I agree. I have a Yamaha Clavinova that sounds very close to an acoustic grand piano...until I record a song, and the recording doesn't sound as close. But Natalie's is excellent!
"Rejoice in the Lord" transports me back to sitting at my grandmother's feet as her 8 children (my dad and all the aunts/uncles) sang this on Sunday afternoons. What a gift these sessions are for our generation! (funny story: a singing group visited our church one weekend, joining the choir on Sunday morning and then giving a concert on Sunday evening. "Keep on the Firing Line" was a song on their album at the time, and my dad purchased the cassette. I don't remember how or why, but at some point while the cassette was playing, I pushed the record button and my voice ended up in the middle of that song. Probably the first time in my young life that I kept something from my parents...until the guilt burned a hole in my heart). Every key you press is a precious memory for my heart--Thank you Natalie!
49:54 This evening has been heavenly, with two of our favorite keyboard blessings who emerged during days of Covid bringing us God's light during those dark days. Thank you to all three, dare we not include Josh. ❤😂
Thank you, I absolutely love this music. My mom played the organ. When I get to heaven I want to play with her. Our church is falling apart but we used to have music like this. Lovevit. Praise God
This was wonderful. You would not have wanted to hear but I sang all I could. Praising Jesus from a heart of thankfulness for His amazing grace to include me in the gospel story. Love you both. Thank you.
Thanks again so much to both of you for so many beautifully played duets together, as well as solo pieces, as we Gathered at the River, so we could look ahead When the Roll is Called Up Yonder, and we're Dwelling in Beulah Land, with Christ's Joy and Majesty on High!!!🙏✝️🛐🎹🎶❤️🌹
Listened to this 3 times now and enjoy it every time.. hopefully you will do it again. May GOD bless each of you and Josh for taking the time to bless us with this beautiful music.
I have watched Ep 22, 3 times already and will probably watch again sometime! Thank you for the tremendous blessing you are to all of us! May God bless you all richly!!
Sat and listened to this whole session today....a bit late but just "wow". "Praise God because He surely lives" In the keyboards and the fingers of you two guys and in the ears and minds of all of us who get to hear Also of course forever in the hearts of each one of us. Thankyou again for taking the time to bring us to the life and to cross and to the living saviour of all mankind. Praise him indeed!
I thoroughly enjoyed this music ... I sat through so much of it with my hands raised in praise to the Lord. Thank you for taking us into that special place or worship.
When I saw your guest tonight, I immediately said , "That's Ken Renfrow!" I was a former student at Bob Jones University back in the 80's and know him very well. He is an excellent pianist and teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed this music duet tonight! It would be wonderful to have Shelly Hamilton on as a guest in the future. 🙂🎹🎵
@@NatalieRaynesMusicI recently looked up Nearer Still Near because I’m going to play Sunday and Ken Renfrow is one that I liked and also for He Giveth More Grace. I came across this video and said NO WAY. THAT LOOKS LIKE THE GUY I JUST FOUND. So I read the comments and sure enough THATS HIM!!!!! And now I see both of you playing? She knows Ken Renfrow ??? No waaaaaay! I absolutely love both of your playing. I looked up his hymns from his CZcams channel to see if he has sheet music and he does. I haven’t found He Giveth More Grace or Nearer Still Near sheet music but I hope I do.
All these hymns are so precious to me. My mother played the piano, and I so regret not learning to play myself. Your playing together is so beautiful! I feel God's presence as you play and find myself singing along. 🎶
This is really great. My name is Trail Man from Jamaica. I feel blessed, like I'm living my dreams in the instrumental world. You two great players have just won a new subscriber and many others are certainly coming on to your channel. Love you loads.
I hope that there are sessions like this in heaven. My dear old brother Bill Dennis played by ear (couldn't read a note). I hope y'all can battle it out with him some glorious day. He's been waiting for ~25 years for us to catch up 🙏
Wow! You two jive REALLY well together! Soooo enjoyed this! Please have him back often. 😊 This session was also very inspiring to me being a new pianist for my church and still at an early intermediate level. Thank you both so much!
This was wonderful to watch! The old hymns are the best! Brings up lots of great memories at the church I grew up in and singing these old hymns. Thank you!
Just as I am without one plea....I wonder how many of us came to Jesus Christ through the singing of that Hymn? 1970 for me at a place way way far from where I am living now. Awesome thought that no matter how far I wander away the saviour still holds me close to his side and brings me ..Just as I am....back to himself.
I would love to hear these two accomplished pianists play "When You're One Step From God", from the hymnal "Songs of Praise". I used to sing this in the church my late Dad pastored (in the 1950s). It was one of his favorite songs.😊
That Donner piano sure sounds great side by side with the Grand piano , I also have one of the DDP 80's and it is really close to the real acoustic piano sound and feel, after hearing it that close to a grand I am even more impressed , great playing too.
Hi Natalie Josh and dr Ken... Even though this happened 4months ago, me finding it now only on CZcams.... Oh GLORY to GOD for the most beautiful music to HONOUR HIS PRECIOUS NAME! Thanks sò very much. Saving the video to listen to, with all the others from Natalie. Sò good to sing along to music and songs that's really in my DNA cause of growing up with it! The BEST to praise our HEAVENLY FATHER!! Praying: Blessings, Goodness and Mercy all the days of your lives for sharing the GOOD NEWS this way. Love in Jesus Christ from South Africa.
Once wasn't enough!! I need to hear you and Judge Renfrow playing your beautiful duet session again!! We can rejoice as we're listening and singing along, for All the Way My Savior Leads Me, because He Lives within my Heart!!🙏✝️🛐❤️🌹
I started to listen to this session as only background music. I quickly became rivoted by the playing and the Spirit that they both had as they played, I couldnt't take my eyes off of both of you playing. It was awesome! Thank you so much for sharing with the rest of us.
I absolutely loved this hour! It blessed my soul to the core. I learned something new, today. “Just As I Am” is one of my favorite songs. (I was saved as the church choir was singing Just As I Am) I didn’t know it was used as a base for “I Come Broken”. I looked up the lyrics and found another favorite song. Thank you both!
I Come Broken starts like Just as I am. Springs of Living Water reminds me of singing with a giant 54:20 Camp Meeting youth choir the summer of 1962. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness.
