You should buy it in a heart beat, I know people that would pay $200K today to get a Founders edition. You could make a hefty profit at that markup!
Yea this is the problem alot of people are having they dont see the reason to get the foundation series, unless you just gotta have it
I agree. All I've been interested in is the dual motor AWD. I've been waiting since Dec. 2020 for my number to come up. It's very interesting that you are not allowed to know anything about the timing of your reservation. Makes one think that they do this so they can manipulate the orders however they feel they need or want to. And the fact they have jacked up the price $20k since the beginning makes you wander if they will increase it again before my number comes up. Is it this year? Next year? 2026? Who knows? They know, but just won't tell you.

Foundation series definitely only has collectors value, which is probably not gonna grow over time like a limited early vin run Porsche. Cybertruck itself is sweet, and a good value compared to closest competitors. Not the foundation series though
Yeah, I think Tesla will ramp up production of the Cybertruck and continue to improve the tech. As a result, the Foundation Series may not hold its value like a limited production Porsche
the foundation series is the "cyberbeast" with tri-motor 850 hp all wheel drive, the dual motor 600 hp at 99K is not the same and is not the "cyberbeast". well worth the extra 20k if you already plan to spend 100k for a cybertruck
They’re both called the “Foundation Series.” You can either get the All Wheel Drive Foundation Series ($100k) or the Cyberbeast Foundation Series ($120k)

I received the email and completed the order for my AWD foundation series 2 weeks before Christmas, we completed all pre-delivery tasks and just waiting to schedule the delivery date 😅
I absolutely agree with you. It's bad enough that Tesla brought the product about 4 years late. It didn't deliver on the specs that it promised. It also hiked the price by over 72% for a truck with almost 40% less range, and no armor glass. You have to be insane if you think this is a reflection of inflation! Sure, I love the drive by wire, but that wasn't what drove me to reserve the truck. I love Tesla technology, I own Tesla cars, and I am an investor in the company. But, this product, as it is released, is a let down. Add the insane price hike on top of that,....I am definitely going to wait for the technology to mature a bit more before I can even consider committing to this purchase!
Absolutely get where you’re coming from. The delays & changes to the specs & pricing are a bit of a letdown, ngl. Totally agree that waiting for more tech advancements is the way to go. Tesla has always improved the tech of all of their vehicles constantly over time

X LR and Performance 3 also get it.
I received an invitation to order the Foundation Series, but I want the $7500 tax credit, so I'll wait for the dual-motor w/o the Foundation Series "goodies."
I think a lot of people will be opting for the regular AWD version since it qualifies for the tax credit
