Fishing AT - Ogmore Deeps, South Wales , Aug 2022 - With tope , cliff jumpers and dolphins

Back again at Ogmore Deeps where I catch my 1st ever tope. I explain my rigs, baiting methods and the mark.
Tackle used :
- Daiwa rods (14 ft - Tournament Surf TNS142M and Saltist 1422M-AU)
- Penn multipliers , Mag 525's (Mag 3 , Mag 4 versions)
- Pulley pennel rigs with 2/0, 3/0 hooks (Varivas big mouth extras)
- Varivas yellow sport 25 lb main line , 80 lb shock leader
Bait used :
- Frozen bluey, Sandeel, mackerel and squid supplied by Baits4U Ltd (Simon Davies) , Sedbury (Chepstow)

Parked in the carpark between Ogmore by Sea and Southerndown , paying £6 for the day.
To access the mark , a moderate walk is required , initially down a steep decline . The mark is approx 1 k.m from the car park. I believe you can park closer to the mark by the side of the road
Please be mindful of sea conditions if there is a heavy swell and high tide, it will wash over the mark I was fishing. Same if strong onshore wind

Hi, thanks for watching - Not lost much tackle there, I don't use rotten bottoms - I'm only casting 50-60 yards . There are rock ledges in front for about 20 yards or so . Good luck if you give it a go

Hi - I use a mix of leads , sometimes a breakaway , sometimes a plain depending on the tide pull. Just allows me to connect what lead suits !!
