AppreciateAZ Ambassadors - Patagonia Lumber Company

Meet Heidi and Zander, who are apart of the Arizona Office of Tourism's AppreciateAZ Ambassador program. They were selected to be apart of our ambassadors because they love to promote and educate about sustainable tourism in Arizona and beyond. The bicycle is their vehicle for exploration, community development, and personal growth as they lead others through transformational journeys around the world. When Heidi & Zander aren't operating cycling trips they keep themselves busy at home in Patagonia, Arizona running their beer & wine bar; The Patagonia Lumber Company, a small bike shop; Patagonia Bikes, operating their micro hotel/airbnb properties; The Gravel House & hosting their annual 100 mile gravel race; The Spirit World 100. The need for an alternative learning atmosphere led both Heidi and Zander to programs such as the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). These foundational learning experiences carved the way for careers as professional cycling guides and as living ambassadors for the ethics of Leave No Trace.
