Gate was the man is right, he was a friend to most; before he passed, he and his wife had a wonderful daughter that I guess is a grown woman by now...He lived not far off the bayou in New Orleans, near the horse track and was a great host in a wonderful home....he is missed by all
Clarence was so multi talented musically. He wasn’t just a blues guy. He toured with his own big band, played Cajun country, stuff rooted in traditional gospel and all kinds of stuff. With a great voice on top of it all. Check out videos of him doing “take the A Train” and also there’s some with him and Roy Clark sitting in with his band. Awesome stuff!
Fantastic! Great mix, wow. I had the pleasure/honor of creating a little music-video (live recording) of Clarence in Missoula MT, many moons ago - we then spent the night talking about music, we learned so much from him. A 'good vibe' kind of guy.
sweet baby jesus this is awsome. Always been a fan. Thank you for posting sitarman61. Blues is the way forward. The bear....... what a leghend. They all are
Cool stuff, I mixed FOH for Clarence Brown at the Ritzville Blues Festival in Ritzville Washington, after he was done Too Slim and the Taildraggers took the stage and kept the party rocking.
Canned Heat ruined this song as many others all along this Festival. The saddest example : when Gatemouth is doing his guitar- voice duet, the f*** pianist had to play extremely softly. The one who saw Gatemouth doing it on stage understand.
WHAT A GREAT GUITARIST,MUSICIAN,C GATMOUTH IS,PURE TALENT,AND SHOWMANSHIP. RIP C,G,B.😎🎸🔊🎶☮️ BOB.

I miss Gatemouth, Got to meet him before he passed away. He was a genuine person who was nice to you no matter who you were.
