pass this inspirational performance on, we need this now more than ever!!
Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Please hit the like button if you can.

Cindy Lauper never gets the credit she deserves as an amazing vocalist .

Cyndi Lauper is one of the very, very rare vocalists of whom was gifted and blessed with perfect pitch, which is why her studio recordings and live performances of them sound identical. A truly captivating, mesmerizing, enchanting, spellbindingly magical, heaven sent voice that is timeless.

If I wasn't so, so familiar with the album recording, there is absolutely no way I'd believe she was singing this live. But, since it's one of my favorite songs, I can hear the minute differences, mainly in her accent coming through in a few parts. Pretty incredible.

Just incredible- her pitch is spot on. Can’t sing a bad note- and with such wonderful attitude!

I remember being around 6 years old when Cyndi Lauper made an early appearance on a tv show that my 70 plus year old grandmother was watching. I was so surprised that my grandmother liked her too. I'll never forget my Grammy saying that not only did she like Cyndi, but that she was going to be really big. I thought that my Grammy wouldn't like her weird clothes and crazy hair. My grandmother told me that Cyndi was unusual and not like everyone else. This was why she would become a big star. She was musically talented and the hair and clothes would get her noticed. My grandmother knew what she was talking about! Lol

My Dad hated our music. He used to say it was all devil music. Even pop music. It's too bad he's passed on, I would put on some Infant Annihilator or some Hollow Prophet...he would choke on that shit.

    That voice! 🎤👄
An unusually amazing or unusual & amazing talent; during a time when high & long notes were not common.
You could say a dark horse to an elephant in the room.
I remember critics of her time used to make fun of her (antics).
But any real sane person couldn't deny her talent (& natural beauty). So underrated & a significant all-time contribution to our modern music!👸🏼

For those who se these high notes in todays singers, Cyndi Lauper is four-octave vocal, I never see live singer do the same as a recorded song, I mean no one, they switch for the crowd or change the song.

Although she is the band, she still Carries the band..
I get it the label was like "alright Band listen up if your name is not Cyndi Lauper then just be a statue and invisible. "
But regardless the more movement on stage the better regardless of role they play in a band.. if it's boring on stage then it's boring in the crowd. It's like watching a action star dodge bullet and explosions with no flames or guns or bullets. So in the end it's just a dude diving and jumping and running around for nothing and the audience watching is like ...unmmm this is boring and sucks...
But a least lauper does 90% of the work and she makes it work..
That's why the suits need to just fork out the finances and logistics and keep their damm greedy moronic ideas to themselves and let the band do what they do best and not just play the music but hear and watch them perform the manifestation of music and suck you into the feelings of another transparent realm of feeling and clutching your heart through your own soul
