I think this is a very innovative idea but it would help to sell it more if there was a see through case for you to actually see something working. In my mind I'm wondering...how do I know that they didn't just take their regular shaver a put a led light on the inside and cut it out in the letters "UV" and claim that its cleaning something. How do we know the UV cleaning is working or doing anything?
So how would a clear lid show you it is cleaning anything it could still be a normal led light in it. UV light destroys bacteria so you would not see that anyway unless you had a microscope in a lab but ain't nobody got time for that.
@JB Passout indeed, I agree. Just thinking that if the customer saw a light scanning back and forth over the top of the foils it might make it more conceivable that something is actually taking place...still wouldn't mean anything really 🤣

Might not be the safest - but cool idea!
This is an upgrade over most if not all the single foil shavers, I can see it taking the place of the uno shaver. It has the strength of a double foil, and the charging capacity that they didn’t have on the older models. The UV feature is just a plus.
Dats what I like to see. Manufacturers constantly innovating to move the industry forward. In my opinion, the clear leaders in the industry are Babyliss & Style craft/Gamma. They are constantly coming up with little ideas that Barbers probably thought about but didn’t think was actually possible to create.

I am not a barber. Which is better for at home use, single or double foil. I feel like the single might be better for nooks and crannies but the double foil is obviously bigger.

No it can't as it will need power to the lid which will only be on the new shavers.
@@jbpassout3569 nah bro you're wrong. It will power the lid as the conductors are on the older shavers too.
@Fire - Dee nah bro your wrong it will have 2 pins running along the side of the new foil with connect to the uv lid powering it. The old foils won't have power transfer pins that connect to the lid.

Funny how now they give us a new shaver with a battery feature and no cleaning UV lid. Obviously to me it says it’s a negligible feature that was this shavers “selling gimmick”

Read the Wikipedia page on "Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation"... The concept relies heavily on good line of site between the bulb and the germ; this can not be achieved by COVERING the already hard to reach bars with a METAL foil
Correct but it will still clean the foil layer on top the main thing in contact with your skin.

Which would you recommend base on Performance between fx3 shaver and the UV?? What's your favorite in general?
That’s what I want to know what’s more powerful which cuts closer which one pulls which one feels smoother cut I’m in between fx3 black or that double Uvfoil trying to get one of them for my head to bald
For me the best in terms of quality and price is the FX2, but if you want something lighter but with less power FX3, if you want the latest with the same strength as the fx2, more ergonomics, more battery, UV disinfection and battery charging also for type C shaver UV you should choose

Braun 9 series cleaner works. This i don't think so
Braun series 9 eats hair like butter but does not have the closeness as the babyliss foils also you can't get in tight areas with the braun I use both.

For me, I pull off the foil cover & clean off inside & out with brush, shoot it with the air compressor, hit it with soap & water & barbicide spray after every use so I don't really see a point in the uv shaver. Anytime a barber doesn't break down & clean their foil shaver that way, you're going to get shavings falling out of the foil onto a different client which is just dirty, disgusting, & very unprofessional. I do appreciate the innovation but just not something worth buying when I already have the so many other shavers that cut just as good. Plus that price point is steep.
But you also get over 5 hours of runtime plus you can charge it with your type c phone charger meaning less charging plugs on your station.

Reggie I love your videos well done very informative there's just one thing bugging me. Get some bigen on your beard, they even do a bigen with a comb for easy application. $2.99 from Sally's and you will look the part. Frustrating sometimes o feel like getting a tweezer and plugging them greys out.
