- The livelihood of 77% of the population is based on under-developed agriculture, 72% of which employ the slash and burn method. They lack alternative livelihood, and can only sell one crop at a time, with a limited market of only their surrounding villages. Today, the Mangyans live secludedly in remote parts of Mindoro but eventually comes down to the lowlands in order to make usual trades. Their sustenance are farming for their own crops, fruits, and hunting.
Amidst this pandemic, the least I can do to them is to donate goods to help them a little. So I have come up to interview their leader and ask some question to inform others and ask him if I could post it online and he agreed. I have learned that most of mangyans have this lively personality where they laugh and laugh, a few of them can speak Filipino so I at most times, I didn’t actually understand their conversation. I can conclude that tribes should be protected and treated normally because they have something to protect and that is their indigenous culture.

We all studied that Mangyan of Mindoro is from the southern most part of Philippines archipelago. So here's the point. Bakit nasa southern part nang Mindoro ang mga hanunoo? The northern part which consists mainly Iraya. And the middle part Alangan. We should know who really is the real Mangyans here. As from the stories, Hanunoo Mangyans accepted the breed of colonalist Kaya medyo iba Ang itsura nila compare sa iba and Yung embroidery nila super advance which means maaga silang naimpliwensyahan. + I've heard a story from someone na Kaya ganon kaliliit Ang tadyawan mayroon silang gene nang Japanese ,see it in their eyes. So the Alangan I've heard a story na since nakakita sila nang mga lowlanders ay umakyat na sa bundok kasi gusto nila nang peaceful life. And I prove na Hindi pa sila Ganon katouched when it comes to media , Kasi sobrang layo nang pinakavillage nang indigents sa kanila.Yung tipong pati cameraman hahapuin sa pag akyat baba. Hope someone make a docu on Alangan Mangyans on the most remote places, there you can see the real life of the people.
8 tribes ang meron s Mindoro, different dialect bawat tribo, Bangon tribe s 8tribe ang pinaka nsa remoted area at cla ang nsa pinaka mataas n location ng tirahan 1gabi 1 arw nsa loob k ng kweba maglalakad bgo k mkrting s knla hnd basat2 nkkpsok doon. Ratagnon tribe similar ang dialect nla s cuyunin o tntwag n family umbrella ng bisaya language.
