- The Frauenkirche is one of Dresden's largest and most beautiful churches. The piece played is Bach's Toccata in d minor. The church's magnificent Silberman, built during the time of Bach, was completely destroyed during the World War II bombing of Dresden. It has been replaced by a 3-manual instrument built in 2005 by Daniel Kern.

Was the tuning of the organ changed somehow? Every recording I have of the instrument has it at A=415. Here it sounds in A=440. What's going on?
No, 440 Hz is correct, just as Mr. Güttler demanded... But there's a mechanical "Transpositeur" to 415 for the 4th manual only

The.hard sound doesn't satisfy me, sorry to say. The same is with Kern Marienkirche Berlin.
