I tell my daughters to find a husband in college. I open the door for them, treat their mom with respect and provide well for the household. They will hopefully look for a man like myself. Too many black women are single, I’m trying to decease those odds with my 5 daughters.

Telling your daughters to be picky and selective is one thing but they don’t need a false sense of options. That’s a ticket straight to a high body count. It’s a father’s responsibility to vet the gentleman and ensure he can properly lead his future family.

I think Rich caught him perfectly on this one. In the other clip he gives a whole sermon (supposedly to men?) on how it’s wonderful to have a formal commitment for relationship in life, how it is like partnership in business and whatnot. Rich basically just asked what he recommends to his daughter. And the answer is the usual “what’s best for _her_” - the whole holly marriage is just another figure in her strategy for life. The way he says it, it’s not a pawn,it’s a more serious option. But it is an option, one of many. I mean, where is the “I’m ready to build my life with this person”? It’s nothing like what the sermon suggested just a minute before. Marriage is neither the purpose of her life nor the backbone of it, not even the core of life strategy. The only conclusion from this: gentlemen, do chase excellence.
A woman should have an education and skills to be able to support herself and her kids if something happens to her husband.

My daughter is 22. The number one thing is do I feel she is capable of being in a long term relationship. The things is do I feel matter are the personalities, goals and future objectives fit so the relationship has a good chance to last. I don’t care about the age gap.

@@ModelJames13 No he’ll die way sooner. 10 years sure 15 maybe 20 is pushing it. People in rp podcasts seem to say age gaps give women the ick because of power dynamics and leave it at that. The moral ideal is life long relationships. My biological grandfather gave his wife up for my new granddaddy because he couldn’t have a normal relationship due to problems that tend to come with age. Must have been a weird experience.
Everyone gets a prenup. Either you write it or the state will. Call it a marriage agreement instead and include her in creating it.

Marriage is an outdated contract for most couples. It should only be for couples who want tonstart a family.
this dude is not able to think outside of the brainwash. he is not able to understand that marriage contract is for protection (his wife protection), and refuses to understand that he needs to be protected too. if I have to guess, that is because he knows that if he was to ask for a protection his wife today would be with someone else. he was scared to even ask . . . make her mad.
Dad's job is to love his daughter enough that she only accepts a man who would make him proud or at least have the potential to provide & protect in the very near future. Hopefully - dad is a good man himself. (not looking to extend the criminal family enterprise) If a decent young man hasn't reach that point yet - leave him be to work on himself and better yourself while waiting for him. The Dad's other job is to chase off the "good for nothings", the drunks/druggies and the ones who can't control their emotions. (beaters) Love your daughter enough to protect her from very bad choices. And if she goes against your wishes - take the young man under your wing and train him to be better. (if you don't- you'll end up raising the grandkids)
Mom needs to teach her to be selective, hold herself to the same standards, live within a budget, know when to hold her tongue and at the same time - hold firm to what is morally right. She needs to be brave enough to do the right thing - for her children. Daughter needs training in proper mothering (No- it doesn't come natural for every female) health & nutrition and above all- how to make a happy & peaceful household.
Holy Beta
All men make the mistake of if something works out for them they think it has everything to do with how they think and what they do when in reality he probably just got lucky and got a really awesome woman that was going to do the right thing no matter what because she's honorable and has integrity. Although rare there are some out there and the problem is these beta guys think well. It worked for me so it should work for everyone. They also don't realize that she probably had a level of attraction for him that she would have signed a prenup or had children without getting married, etc. We are not trying to protect ourselves from the good ones that are gold. We're trying to protect ourselves from the ones that are going to screw you over. The right ones will stay with you regardless, but 100% of the bad ones will not continue with you unless you sign that enforced by the state one-sided marriage contract.
