  • Learn what foreign direct investment (FDI) is and how it affects you. We explore the amount of investments that countries make in foreign countries and how the balance of FDI influences the economic well-being of a country. Some of the companies we examine include GE, Gerber, BFGoodrich, Starwood Hotels, and Carnation. We examine how regulations around FDI might harm or help them in their global business operations.

    Im a little confused, so net flow is inflow-Outflow. with America, you said inflows around 350 and outflows are 200 billion so net would be +150 billion and you went on to say that the American net flow is negative when i dont see how that is the case.

    I’m working on a school project, I’m working with the Sydney Airport and have been asked to make FDI’s. Could you give me an example of common fdi’s for an airport. My group was thinking of a joint venture with a tourism group in Thailand. Would this work?

    Now i have seen some people have issue in net flows so let me explain
    Netflow = inflow-outflow
    P.netflow= A invest more abroad B then foreign B in there country A
    N.netflow=A invest less abroad on B then foreign B in there country A
