The film that came to you "From Thames In Colour" was "Gallipoli".
This is actually from January 1985, the giveaway is when TV-am changed its start time to 6:15am. Somewhere here on CZcams the Thames closedowns for 31 December and 1 January are online.
Thanks for the info, for some reason I put the wrong year, been doing too much editing.
No mention of the 405 service ending?
The ever-so camp Tom Edwards.
0:47 - Is that Nicholas Lyndhurst, or someone that looks like him?
Yes that is him in the advert.
Surely these three clips are 1985, as it says on the Thames graphic at 0:15? ;)
Future _The Price is Right_ announcer Simon Prebble voices the trailer.
Rip Des O'Connor
Star Crash! Quality "whatever we can find in the dusty cupboard for the school holidays" entertainment.
Can you upload the closedown from the very next day (January 3rd), that was one of the clips I watched in my childhood.
What's the song?
The announcer says the name of the song from 6:41
"To All the Girls I've Loved Before" by Des O'Connor
