he is not that good mate defensively he is decent but not great botman covers him a lot of the times and he is slow to pass the ball he takes for ever to release the ball doesnt know how to advance with the ball he gets pressured easily and then he just hooves it my god we need another cb who is quick unlike botman and can play short passes and even take on attackers to beat the press to give the ball to bruno noticed how bruno has to come back to defense to get the ball forward our centre back cant build up play for shit this season they just hooving it is like bruce ball all over again longball to isak all the time

I always backed him in the Bruce era but some fans were saying nah he's not good . He's proved everyone wrong now what brilliant ball playing DF he is. That also has a dynamite shot on him and is dangerous in the box.

One of the most under rated defenders ever, his positioning is excellent but his party piece is his distribution from the back no defender in the Premier league has his range of passing long or short its 100 % accurate
as a swiss lad, i genuinely enjoy you appreciating him like he deserves. The offensive production was evident even early in his career during the fc basel days when i saw him play. The eye for passes like a cm, instincts in front of goal like a CF and fearlessness of a CB and also a confident pen-taker! btw: his last name is literally pronounced like "share" for those who didn't know ;)

Iâm glad they showed his defensive contribution as I think thatâs what heâs massively underrated for. We all know him as a goal scoring defender but he could probably play anywhere across the pitch.
