It's extremely good and completely comparable to a traditional hurdy gurdy sound wise. My friend was playing it and I thought it was his top quality French gurdy when I was in the next room.

A lot of factors affect tone, string to wheel pressure, rosin, wheel surface etc… for an affordable and accessible hurdy gurdy Jaap Brand’s name should be enshrined forever in the Annales De La Vielle!! (and the name B Mehess aka Galloping Gurdies be forever cursed!! 😆)
the only gripe i might have is the clicking ive seen from the keys in most videos of it...wondering if there's something that can be done to mitigate that, as it overpowers the music often times....though if im using headphones it might not be as much of an issue... @@scottmarshallhurdygurdy5968 edit: im talking specifically the "digigurdy", i didnt realize at first this was an actual string one XD
