This lesser-known version of the Camelot legend is a work almost solely made by Oscar nominee Cornel Wilde, who played Lancelot as well as co-adapted, co-produced and helmed this undeniable fantasy/action/adventure, which was an co-production of Emblem Productions & Theadora Enterprises, released by Universal-International in October 10, 1963 and re-released in June 7, 1993.
Thanks for the film! I always enjoy this one. Surely not the best movie ever made, but still very enjoyable nonetheless. A lot of good character actors in it who went on to do many other films and TV in the UK and the US. Actor, Director Cornell Wilde in the lead role, was a an expert fencer and selected for the 1936 Olympics.
I have a hobby with the stories centered on King Arthur. Since I was a boy. I saw this movie soon after it was made, probably in about 65. Really liked it. I've looked for it since being online. Never found it. Of course, by now I had forgotten the stars' names, until seeing this. Thanks for putting it up. To me its still a good movie, but not as enjoyable as when a boy. And...I'd forgotten how pretty "Guinevere" was.
Timeless Classic Films, where did you upload this movie from? Was it From a DVD? Can you give me a picture of what it loos like if it is from a DVD? Please respond.

Just going through comments before watching. Many times I mean to come back to comments after watching a video, to reply to a comment I read before watching. I always forget, which is probably why you got no answers. I am commenting because that is a good question, and I would have liked to see some answers to your question:)
She was beautiful!!! Now, she should have fessed up to the king before she married him! Ah, but then you wouldn't have a story. I HATE the ending. And I love God, but to become a nun? I would have liked it if they went off together. In fact, even if one of them died it would have been better.
That's Jean Wallace. She was married to Oscar nominee Cornel Wilde. In fact, the former married couple were divorced in March 28, 1981 and have wonderful children, including Cornel Wallace Wilde and Maggie Wilde.
In addition, they have three sons, a brother, a sister and three grandchildren. Those later projects were made primarily for Theadora Enterprises, a company where she, Cornel Wilde and Irene Dunne had formed. Their credits were featuring Storm Fear, Sword of Lancelot, The Naked Prey, Beach Red and both of its last pictures: No Blade of Grass and Someone to Watch Over Me - they were critically acclaimed for its theme.
Round table is a rather wrong political system, contrast to one-leader central government. King Arthur could just superficially unite his kingdom. To cover the weakness, he invented such word like freedom, peace or love etc, which in fact without power he could not do.
WOW, a Frenchman bathing, how times have changed! This is a fantasy.
Reminds one of old values of chivalry and loyalty.
Passion has sure caused a lot of problems.
nah religion causes more lol
Great presentation! Well researched, great cinematography, too.

An interesting movie, it lets you dream a while. I like the movie.
Good movie but when I closed my eyes ALL I could HEAR was Pe Pe La Pew 💯🤣
Maybe it is the times, I don't know.
But still, it's still hard to only wonder,
wonder if anyone really understands just what this all really means.

Many things here are goofy, but at least the music is pretty good.
yes you are right
God's light pierced the soul of one of the main characters to wash them clean. That character desired the light to pierce the soul of the other.
Peace

video unwatchable. edit: @PizzaFlix has a good one.
The quality suggests this was taken from a VHS or other inferior recording medium. What a waste.
I'm holding my nose and grabbing a can to puke in.

Never. You are right. I just comment the theme expressed by King Arthur's story. Many people in China still believe the theme is true.
