- Amritpal Singh, lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam and Engineer Rashid, lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi, reached Parliament House on Friday and took oath as MPs. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla administered the oath of membership of Parliament to both the newly elected MPs in his chamber. Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh came out on parole to take the oath of MP. He has won the Lok Sabha elections from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat of Punjab. However, when the Lok Sabha session was going on, he was in jail. That is why he was sworn in now.

If anyone has read the history of Panjab before 1947, in 1947 and after 1947 thoroughly, then u may actually get to know how and why is almost every Panjabi demanding basic freedom rights.. But u guys don't know anything u just survive on Government's commissions. Before even starting a news channel/starting a journey as journal artist, u must actually learn to stand with the fact and not be baised, standing by the government's side. Anyways if u guys wanna know about the history, even britishers admit that in the freedom fight 95% of contributions were made by Panjabis.. Master Tara Singh was actually told not to merge with India and make a separate Sikh country like Pakistan but what did Master Tara Singh do? He actually chose to be with India and Nehru promised him that Panjab would be a federal state. But what happens later on? Panjab doesn't get that status rather Sikhs.. who were about to get their own country, were actually not even identified as a community, then when Sikhs demanded their rights and basic recommendation, Nehru banned Panjab's state name to destroy our culture and language and the government officials were forced to speak Hindi and Panjabi was banned because of his Panjab Subha Morcha started in 1951, to suppress it Nehru attacked Darbar Saheb killing more than 6000 Sikhs in 1955, but that didn't suppress the morcha rather it had strengthen it, then 1961 Panjab Kesari which was owned by some Hindi speaking guy, started pressing articles in the paper declaring that Panjabi Hindus' mother-tongue is Hindi not Panjabi which actually influenced a lot of Panjabi Hindus and when states were being named based on their language an area where most of the people were influenced by this article, and had started considering their mother tongue as a dialect of Hindi, that area was cut from Panjab and formed as Himachal, then later on, similar thing happened in 1966 and Haryana was formed and Chandigarh was declared as UT. 2 areas of Panjab which had a border with Rajasthan had a mix-match of both Panjab and Rajasthan were actually given to Rajasthan (Ganganagar and HanumanGarh) in the same year. Cutting Panjab into current Panjab, Haryana, Himachal, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Chandigarh. After that Dharam Yudh Morcha begins because in most of the states Sikhs were facing discrimination and the same government who promised to give Sikhs special recognisition, asked Sikhs to stop following their religious practices and to fight that Dharam.Yudh Morcha began, it went from 1966-1984 which resulted in 1984's Blue Star Operation which had main incident in 1984 but its impact continued until 1995. After that open attacks stopped but internally the government kept on attacking Panjab, for example, Panjab's school until now are not allowed to teach students in Panjabi and in case students speak their mother tongue in class, they have to pay a penalty for that. Other example is the fact that no matter for what Sikh tries to raise his voice, he is declared a terrorist. Also, Panjab's natural resource (Water) is shared with a lot of states and that too for free, and when it comes to Panjab taking some natural resources from other states, it has to pay for it.
Despite of all this, A lot of sikhs get into Indian Army, serve in the Army with their whole life, energy and strength.
I have a lot of Hindu friends all over India and when I share these things with them.. they feel like the government is actually playing the same card that 100s of years ago Mughals played on Hindus.. during that time if Sikh community had not established, had it not been for the contribution for the Sikh Gurus, a lot of Hindus might have got converted into Muslims by now.
Also, if in a house, several brothers are living together, and out of all thr brothers if only 1 is such a guy who is not only being disrespected but also discriminated/divided/sidelined for no reason, despite of the fact that he tries to give his heart and soul for the house, then at one point, he will actually decide to take his share of the place and move to some other accommodation.
That's what Panjab feels like, until today, can anyone tell me, even a single point where Panjab did not stand for this country? and even after doing this all, we'll be considered terrorist just to ask for the basic rights of freedom/respect/recognition/equality, then its better not to be a part of such a country. And as per the agreements that India and UK had, its clearly mentioned that no matter what if a state feels like that they want to get separate and don't want to be a part of The Republic of India anymore, then they can just ask the PM, follow the procedure and they'll actually get the state back as it was back in 1947. And if the country/PM plays dirty tricks then the Britishers will use their power to provide the state with its basic rights and now with UK, its UNO too, which stands in support to this agreement.
