This is great. What can I do in case I want to keep my emails hosted on the ionos account but set up my website hosting on the digitalocean? is that process still the same or there is some extra configuration I have to do>

I followed your video and registered a domain but it's been 24 hrs and nothing has happened after. All I have got is this email from them.
    >Sub: Order Confirmation
    > Thank you for choosing IONOS.
We are currently processing your order. A separate confirmation email will be sent with your contract terms and conditions once your order has been successfully processed.
And at the bottom end is the customer ID with few digits.
    Why??🤷🏻‍♀️
    I'm so upset.

Being a holiday might have something to do with it (or stupid virus), but I would give them a call. Being a new customer I'm sure they would want to resolve things. Technically they have 48 hours to propagate (point it to your host). Perhaps they need to verify something?
Also, please watch this video- czcams.com/video/2-SuIMrX1Lg/video.html 7 minutes into the video will show how to connect to digital ocean if that's what you're using. If you are using host gator, godaddy, etc for hosting, see their help article to connect your domain name to get up and running. Let me know who your using and I'll try to find you an article you can use.
