- We are finally back in Japan after so many years. The last time was pre-covid times. And the memory of the typhoon disrupting train and flight services was still so vivid.
Toyama/Matsumoto was our 3rd stop. Actually this two cities are far apart. We moved from Osaka to Toyama as a base to kick start our Alpine Route to see the Snow Corridor and Snow Wall. A pity, we did not spend much time in Toyama. I think there is more to see there.
From Toyama to Takayama, then we took multiple transportations up to Murudo, the highest point of the Alpine Route then came down the other way to Matsumoto (Nagano). Matsumoto was also where we visited Kamikochi, a nature park that was really really beautiful. Overall we had a lot of fun here!

Nice couple, fun times, great adventure, waterfall side trip was cool
Yes it was! Thank you
ステキな2人ですね🌹
私も行きたくなりました😃
we love the place ^_^
wahhhh omg i coming here next month 😃
You will love it here 😄
Hi :) what month was this video taken ?
It was taken in mid-late May ✌🏼
Where do you park your bicycles?
The hotel’s bicycles? It had wheel lock so we parked them at designated parking space, if not just somewhere of the way of the other road users
Is it very cold up there? How much clothes should we prepare?
And did yall have any activitied at night to see stars during night?
It was quite cold for me. If I revisit, I will put on one heat tech innerwear and a scarf. The wind there is powerful, so probably put on a windbreaker.
You can also see what people wear in the video as a reference. Beanie and puffer-down jackets are some that I noticed.
Hope this helps!
It was raining and cloudy so we didn't check out the night sky. I wasn't ready for the cold weather so I just hide indoors also
@@ahn0ngg thank you!! Did you guys also reserved the tickets via the website? Or did you guys buy on the day itself?
@@cys91 reserve the tickets via website. i bought it one week before my visit.
when you around alpen route ? what about you luggage ? your bring or how ?
I used a luggage forwarder service to send our luggages to the end point. So we went up with minimal stuff, and when we reached the end point the next day, the luggages were at the hotel already.
@@ahn0ngg thank you. and How to going shomyo fall, how to buy bus ticket ?
Tickets to shomyo falls can be bought from Tateyama station. Remember to check the timetable and plan the return too
@@ahn0ngg thankyou, I hope if I go to tateyama alpen route , i can stop here
Hi, may I ask what pass are you using?
@janiceting7021
I bought the Alpine-Takayama-Matsumoto Area Pass. It is valid for 5 days and cost 21200 yen
May i ask too @@ahn0ngg, what pass did u use from osaka?
@@rianwulandari4694 i used the alpine pass that covered the route from osaka to kanazawa. then we realized that it couldn't let us go to toyama straight.
so we bought another ticket to bring us to toyama.
i think we should go to nagoya first then to toyama instead of going to kanazawa then toyama.
@@ahn0ngg thank u for ur reply 😊May i ask again. So, if want to go to kamakochi & tateyama alpine from tokyo, maybe i should start from nagano then kamakochi and the next day nagano to tateyama alpin, right? Btw, where did u buy the apline ticket? Can i buy the ticket online 1 month before?
Sorry I did not get notifications about your reply.
I think starting from Nagano works too. For me, I started from Toyama to Tengudaira (and stayed one night) before going to the Snow Corridor the next morning and went on to see the Kurobe Dam and ended the Alpine Route at Nagano side (stayed one night). I explored Kamikochi the next day.
The tickets were bought from touristpass.jp/en/alpine/
