In his sixth Long Track World Championship season and at the 27th attempt, Chris Harris is a Final winner. In Ostrów on Saturday, Harris shook off Martin Smolinski to leave himself just a single point from a three-way tie at the top of the 2023 World Championship Standings. - Sport

You're wrong. This is just a short track in Ostrów Wielkopolski, PL. Usually ride on much longer tracks and then there is no such fight and excitement as the tour
Ive always felt long track and grass track was more exciting than speedway. Dont get me wrong I love speedway, but a good grass meeting or one of those big German long tracks knock speedway into a cocked hat.
Great race win Chris Harris I always like to see the likable Englishman win he rides everything that is speedway and deserves all his success.
Youve got to love Chris Harris what a legend. Seems to be alot of empty seats which is ashame.

Exactly, long track is usually round a trotting track, at least has been here in NZ in the past, Ivan Mauger was a legend to watch @ Addington
Definitely not a 1000 metre track... more like 500 metres.
@@raymondo162 5 bikes doesn't make it longtrack ! Try searching longtrack racing , i.e 'Peter Collins and Egon Muller'. THEN you will be enlightened !

The track looks more like the old Hyde Road Belle vue track , rather than a long track . Those were good old times .

@@chiefwiggum9667 hello mate, I bought and raced Simon Wigg's 200cc cub grass track bike, raced it till it blew up, watched him riding his Sieger Montessa 250 in the schoolboy championship at buckingham track, he came 2nd to sean wilmott in the final. I rode in his old leathers! Simon Wigg R.I.P, 4 times world longtrack champion ith his otto lantenhammer tuned weslake, ah well, those days are gone.
I think Jawa sponsored him too with a works engine, we will not see his like again. His brother was very fast too, Julian Wigg, as I recall

Normal track for normal speedway. Long track competition in Ostrów is a mistake. ;)
5 riders, they're not normal speedway bikes and 1 or 2 of them aren't famous speedway riders. I don't know what it is.
Great win......but belle vue and exeter were the same size....dont see what makes it long track?

I really don't like that the 'Longtrack' is now using normal short track speedway tracks to race on,
it really should be 800m circuits minimum

Wiki says that track is 372m but also says Long Track minimum is 425m 🤔
