- I don't know if it is because of the Last of Us, but this topic was requested a lot lately. So in this story, I take you on an introduction to fungi: what the definition of their kingdom is about (they are not plants nor animals), the mindblowing variety of sizes, shapes and appearance they can take, and their associations with other life forms. I also tell you about their importance to ecosystems, what happens when they produce mushrooms, and the various ways humans use them, from a source of food to yeasts, molds or "magic mushrooms".

i love fungi so much. mycelium just completely warps my sense of reality, like it's just crazy how much is going on under the surface. everything is connected by these funky little dudes we barely even understand. extraordinary.

I’m currently growing edible mushrooms for the first time and I’ve been listening to this video a lot during bedtime. I want to learn how these fun guys develop and grow, even when I’m asleep.

I ate a small amount of magic mushrooms a week ago with my roommate and watched the first 4 episodes of Last of Us. It blew my mind, in a good way. The Linda Ronstadt song made me cry. Good times

@@maximusmeridius3519 in reasonable doses with experience, any form of entertainment can be incredibly intense and engaging on psychadelics. might not be the best idea in the world, but i watched the pilot of the Punisher while tripping absolute balls with my buddies, might been insanely violent but it was so intense to watch something like that when tripping.

I was looking for an asmr video where someone just reads facts about mushrooms and where different ones are found, what they're used for, etc (specific yes but I like mushrooms and asmr helps me sleep lol) and while this is so much more than mushrooms I'm so very excited to listen to this while I fall asleep.

This topic makes me wonder if you'll explore the myths and stories of rainforests? I know many are inspired by the plants and fungi that inhabit them. Such as the way fungi communicate with one another and other trees.

I never comment on videos but I love your channel, the subjects you go through are always interesting. I have been listening to asmr for maybe 8 years now but finding a content which makes me sleep and makes me learn is incredible. I usually watch the video like 15-20 time because I usually fall asleep after 10-15 min and it continues running. Again a very interesting story, thank you. I have a mixed attitude towards fungi because they (mystery yeasts) sent me to the hospital for a week as a teenager when I was dunked in the thermal lake of Heviz, Hungary and involuntarily swallowed a large mouthful of the peaty water. The doctors said that it can really get critical if that stuff gets into your bloodstream.

French Whisperer I suffer from severe insomnia and You are the only thing including sleep drugs and except for (only)one particular Marie kondo TED talk that has ever put me to sleep so fast! (How long has it been since Marie kondo was popular? She has kids and doesn't live that lifestyle anymore LOL) you sure are a godsend!🍜🌌💕😴😴😴
