I love the part where Junyer Bear after eating carrot soup says "Somebody's been sleeping in my bed!" and Papa whacking Junyer with a spoon! Imagine the director was there then he would shout "CUT! Junyer! That's not until later in the cartoon!" That would've been even more funny! And then later on, after Papa tells his wife and son to not forget their lines then Junyer says "Grandma, what big eyes you got!" Then Papa smacks him on the head. Then again, if the director was there he would yell. "CUT! Junyer! That's the wrong story! Now, try it again!" How funny would that be!
Love this cartoon, but I just barely noticed the other two bears BOTH say that their porridge/soup is too hot, when it should be that one is cold and one is hot, and the middle one is just right. Don't know if that was a mistake lol.
No, it's Goldlie-Locks who says that. The reason the bears (in the original tale and in this cartoon) leave for a walk is because their porridge (soup here) is too hot to eat, so they would be cool down a bit when they're back.
Gotta give Chuck and his team credit for getting that passed the Hays Code censorship. Friz also a similar this in Daffy the Commando the previous year of this short.
Is it me or isn't this cartoon ever to have a on-screen real burp instead of either characters having to run off-screen before they burp (like Butch did in the Droopy Dog cartoon Mutts about Racing) or making the characters litteraly say "Burp" if they were on screen (like in the Screw-Ball Squirrel cartoon Happy Go-Nutty after Screwy and Meathead drinks Coo-coo Cola)?
