I agree that I find that a lot of therapists don't know what they are doing.
When I was confined in my country's only psychiatric hospital, the consultants did not see me for over a week and still made the decision to keep me there indefinitely even though I had at every opportunity asked to see them, as well as expressed that I hated the ward I was kept in even though it was their best ward. It felt like prison to me, just one common room and one large dorm area. I had no interest in socializing with the other people and I hated it. I had to kick up a huge fuss and demand I be let out before they discharged me against advice.
I literally could not for the life of me imagine why that environment would be helpful. I had no counselling sessions at all in the 2 weeks I was there, and the consultants just read notes and didn't even see me before making decisions to keep me there longer. That's why I don't have any confidence in the mental health care in my country at all, as that was the best and only psychiatric hospital and their care just made me want to do bad things. Compared to the west, I don't think the standard of care is even remotely as good here in asia.
Maomao is not only a great teacher but a great detective too. Truly top class.

I'm currently trying to get ADHD diagnosed and it's already hard in my country (basicly it's not taken seriously and mostly considered "kids being hyperactive" diagnos) but also it's a great pain to deal with my doctor. She's well known professional, but I swear to god, each time I visit her it feels like I'm in court!
45:16 Much like Chaospiral's story, a workplace _I_ was working at in 2017 burned down. It was a woodworking place, just absolutely choking on sawdust. I was only a temp hire, but one of the guys who worked there full time apparently went around the back of the building to heat up a spoon and... well, the whole building went up in flames. If I had to explain dust explosions to someone like Lihaku, I think I’d start with a thought experiment about taking enough oil to fill a lamp, pouring it across a stone floor, and lighting it on fire - causing it to burn much faster than if the oil were in the lamp itself, because more of it is touching the air. Elaborate by talking about how people suffocate and flames go out in a sealed space (or maybe start with that point), and then go back to the oil and talk about particles of dust floating in the air as the extreme end of the surface-area-to-volume thing.
