- My Guards Red 964 c2 has been laid up for a while and there are quite a few issues that need resolving before I can start enjoying it. In this episode we sort out most of those niggles before it heads off to Northway Porsche for a more extensive service.
This 964 will have an extensive renovation, including an engine rebuild, bare metal repaint (in a different colour), interior upgrades, new suspension, wheels plus obviously audio and security upgrades. Make sure you have subscribed to this channel as all of the stages will be documented!

Thanks for watching … definitely more to come 👍🏽
964 is a perfect B-Road blaster, would love to see a video just of this sending it down some B roads. Good to see the small issues being fixed, can't wait to see this with a new colour and some tasteful and subtle mods. Aman smashed it! 🔥🔥 Can't wait for the next episode!
We are slowly progressing with this project, more updates coming soon 👍🏽👍🏽
Your Fuch's style wheels will greatly transform it. Looking forward to futur episodes,
Cheers for the feedback, I can’t wait to put some miles on it 👍🏽
Great video and look forward to seeing the progress. Love a 964 and luckily have a unique guards red cab with just 10,000 miles from new!
Sounds great! More content coming soon 👍🏽
I'd be pulling the motor/trans to inspect for the leaks. Unlikely to be the case itself, but probably front and rear main seals, through bolt o rings, rocker shafts, cylinder base o rings, head-to-cylinder sealing, tensioner o rings, etc.. Ask me how I know ;)
Looks like you’ve been through it yourself ✌🏼
Dudes on fire, knows his stuff💯💯💯💯
He certainly does 🙌🏽
Enjoying watching this series. Keep them coming. I've built a fast road 964 too so keen to see what you end up doing.
Thanks for watching.. more to come 👍🏽
Love the 964 in red. If you must change the paint, consider, at least, the rubystone red.
Thanks for watching and the feedback 👍🏽
Beautiful so far Amaan good work well done
Thank you so much 😊
Well done Amman 👍🙂
Thanks 🙂
I'm really enjoying you and Aman working through these niggles. I've DMed you on IG with a lead on an engine undertray 👍
Appreciate the feedback, will check the DM 👍🏽
Looks like the shifter boot is in need of an update as well. Haha. Great progress mate. My sunroof is had the same issues The metal liner is in need of replacing at some point as well. How comfortable are the Recaro seats? I drive mine almost daily stuck in traffic and wondered how these would be for commuting.
Yes, still quite a few parts require upgrading and/or updating. Happy with the Recaro seats so far although not been for a long drive .. will update in future episodes 👍🏽
Bro u is a baller
Love the work
Back to back
Let me come check out
Sometime soon...
Keep up the great work
Thanks for watching 👍🏽
Did you ever resolve the clutch grab point? I inherited my late father-in-laws 1983 5spd 944 that had the same extremely high grab point. I don’t know how he drove it like that. Before I drove the car home, I had all the major service done, and by some miracle the repair shop adjusted the clutch, and now it grabs very low, and the car is a pleasure to drive. I was told because the clutch was hydraulic, it couldn’t be adjusted.
We've not had a chance to adjust or play with the clutch biting point - will leave that to the experts at Northway Porsche 👍🏽
Typically, a high biting point in these cars mean a worn clutch. You can install a MPL slave cylinder to lower the biting point if that is still biting too high but then the feel do change due to a bigger slave cylinder.
@@chaochsu8623 Since my 944 was in for service, I figured the repair shop would know if the clutch was worn and would have told me. The clutch works beautifully with a proper low bite point. Whatever the repair shop did to adjust my clutch, I’m happy with it.
