heating the old red light on the edges with a heat gun and pressing from the backside (trim panel needs to be removed) requires no prying at all.
Yeah that makes sense. Just get nervous with heat guns and paint
Use the "low" setting and common sense is all that is necessary. Keep the heat gun moving and check the surface with your fingers (carefully).
