- These Adidas X Ghosted .1s are fantastic. They combine great lockdown with a comfortable and barefoot-like fit. I'm really impressed with the way these feel, having never worn a proper synthetic shoe like this before. Reminds me a TON of the F50 Adizero from the 2012 and 2013, which were debatably the best speed boots outside the Vapor series. These seem suitable for MOST foot types. I have really wide feet and these seem to fit just fine!

Used to own a pair of f50s and yes, that stickiness was very crucial for my game. Especially for touch, shooting, passing and all that involves contact with the ball. It just felt like you had something on your feet you can rely on. Felt secured.

Great review! A month on, how are you feeling about the boots? Any unforeseen issues?
I actually didn’t train much in these because I decided to go with the Vapors instead! I know a lot of people who really like them though, and haven’t found very many issues at all. The X Ghosted are one (if not THE) most technologically advanced speed boots on the market and I think they have a very solid place among the best adidas boots ever!
Great vid, any update on the boots and the heel issue?
For me, I think the heel in the new Speedflow.1 is far superior to this one! They're similar, but the construction of the new version allows for more flexibility and less pressure on my achilles!
Good video one thing I noticed during the video was that you called these all ground boots, but ag actually stands for artificial grass and not all ground cheers 👍

Assuming these stayed in your rotation, about how long did it take to break them in and did breaking them in change the feel at all?
I appreciate that, thank you! These didn’t make it into my rotation because I decided to go with the Vapor 13s for now. That being said, I’m actually really intrigued by the X ghosted because I know some friends of mine who love them and really have enjoyed the boots. My understanding from those people is ~3-5 hours solid training time before they feel relatively broken in and molded to your feet! I’m actually thinking of getting a pair of the lace less ones just to have for fun kick arounds, especially because of the tech in them!

i bought these in the showpiece pack colorway because they reminded me of captain america, and while the boots are nice, they just didnt fit right to my foot. i have a narrow midfoot, and a medium width forefoot, and i actually found the forefoot very constricting so i stuck with the Phantom GT Elite DF FG. still an amazing boot though!
I'm glad you got the best boots for you! Yes mate, these are fantastic! I wish my feet fit in these a bit better, but I'm excited for the next generation to come out with what looks like a much more playable upper!
Is it too aggressive for AG?
I have really narrow feet and I have worn vapors for my whole life and I like my cleats really tight and my normal size is a 9 I was going to try x ghosted.1 so should I get a 8.5 ( btw the way I love my vapor mercurials and I hate wide feet cleats because I always roll my ankle because they don’t support my ankle)
I would go true to size mate! That being said, if you find that the 9s are a bit too big, you could try the 8.5, although I always caution people going down 1/2 size that the length is really important to get right and I wouldn't advise cramming your foot into a boot that's too short for your toes!

Debating in between these and the predator 20.1 lows.. I was looking at the phantom Gt’s but not for me.. I like a boot that fits like a vapor and fits tight and thin.. really wish I could break into vapors but it hurts my foot to much on the lateral side of my foot and even after 2 session of 2 hours it hurts.. might try going half a size up but don’t think it will work
If you like the lightweight fit, definitely go with the X Ghosted! They’re a great pair of boots true to the “speed boot” DNA and feeling.

I've heard that from a lot of people! The vapor 11s were a great boot... I've heard the new Vapor 14s are really close to that feeling as well! Maybe test those out too... 👍🏼

Hey Noah I’m thinking about buying these today but I’m not sure what size to get. I always get Nike and I’m a size 7.5 always with a little bit of space since Nike is so thin but these look like they have a good amount of with, should I stay at 7.5? Or get a size 7 ? I don’t want to get the wrong size and have to return them and wait again ( my foot is in the middle of the spectrum of wide and thin )

Thank you for the comment! These are definitely wider than the mercurials! The widest speed boot (which I LOVE and currently wear) is the Puma Ultra 1.1. It’s also cheaper than both the mercs and Xs!
Does your heel move at all? I had the new vapors and returned them because my heel was all over the place.. thx
A bit, yes! I found there to be a little heel slippage on these, but the newer version (speedflows) are much better in that regard for my feet.
Would you recommend adidas ghosted.1 tf or nike phantom vision1 pro tf? Plz recommend me a one that is good for shooting
YOU are the one doing the shooting, so I'd pick the boot that fits you best! A boot won't make a big difference whether you can shoot well or not🔥

They're good mate! I think the soleplate is objectively better than the Ultra's, but I think the upper on the Ultra is more comfortable!

I will preach this till I die mate: YOU are the passing ability and the control, the boot is simply a tool you use to perform those things! If you want a synthetic feeling boot, go with the X Ghosted! If you’re more into a knit feel, go with the GTs!

I don't! I think they'll be very durable because they're built with reinforced upper that's meant to last for a while!

You might find it to be a little long, but I reckon you could fit in it no problem. I have the same situation and I fit in both a 9 and a 9.5 US for this shoe! Just depends how tight around your foot you want the boot 👍🏼
Do these break in easily for wide feet ?
Not sure to be honest! I imagine they would after a few hours of wear time - I only had them for a little while why I was testing them. I'd say they'd break in similarly to any other synthetic boot!

I’m thinking of getting new cleats and i’m stuck between getting the same mercurial vapor 13 elite fg or the adidas ghosted x.1 I play wide and i want a boot that’ll give me a good feel when dribbling, shooting, and a good feel to my first touch. Should i stick with the same or try these?
How are you going with the vapors? Do you like them?
@@NoahCavanaugh the vapors are great, i feel fast and my shot feels good too, but the adidas ghosted .1 look as if they’re comfortable and will make my dribbling, touch and shot feel even better. I feel like receiving and turning with the Adidas ghosted would be even more comfortable. That’s why i asked you on your opinion on which cleat i should consider
@@carlosfromyt5244 I understand brother! I don’t think any particular boot will make you better at turning or dribbling as long as they both fit well. At the end of the day the X and the vapor are very different feeling boots so if you want to try the X’s, I think that’s totally reasonable! If they’ll give you a mental edge, then it might be worth the switch! Personally, I struggle to find shoes that fit my foot properly, so I tend to switch around until I find the right fit and then stick to it. Hence why I asked you if the vapors were enjoyable to wear! If they still work and aren’t breaking, I’d spend that $230 on a personal training session or something instead, or wait until the vapors break, then make the switch if you want to! 👍🏼 no wrong way to go mate, so long as the X’s fit well too.
@@NoahCavanaugh oh no, my vapors have broken studs and are muddy and starting to crack up, that’s why i was looking into these shoes. When i say better dribbling, touch etc, it’s all mental i understand. For me, boots effect my game and that’s why i want them to be comfortable. I was just wondering if these boots were similar to vapors cause i’m afraid to make the change cause i won’t have the money to buy another pair once i buy these
@@NoahCavanaugh personally, every boot feels different to me, some make me feel like i have a heavy touch and some don’t, that’s what I meant by dribbling, turning etc haha
did you have any problem with durability on these particular boots? they have a super thin upper which could affect durability a ton but what are your personal thoughts after wearing them for a while I’m assuming?
I didn't keep these boots for very long to be honest! I don't like keeping boots that I may not wear in a game or a training session. I have a few friends who have them though, and the durability has been great so far. It's a thin boot, but it's very well constructed, and I would expect it to last a good amount of time! Keep in mind most "speed" boots have a shorter life span than a different style, like a Predator, Puma Future, or a Tiempo!

@@heshamfarag32 I think at the end of the day it’s up to you on how you want to spend your money! Now that some color ways of the Ultra are discounted by quite a bit, is it worth saving the cash? I’m not sure... if I were to pick between those two boots right now I’d go with the Ghosted, because of how much more durable they are. I don’t like breaking in boots as much so durability matters more to me than immediate comfort! (Even though broken in, both boots are exceptional)

I wouldn't recommend these for super wide feet, the Speeflow.1 is much better for wide feet, but in general, they fit slim to mid range width feet the best!
what is the width in (cm) and size of your foot ? and how is the fit of the boot?
My foot is between 10-11 cm wide depending on where you measure! 11cm in the forefoot and ~10cm in the midfoot. The fit of the boot was very good, and I reckon I could sneak into a size 9 US if I wanted an extra tight fit. I would definitely have some hotspots for a few hours while I broke them in, but that happens with most boots!

@@NoahCavanaugh Awesome! Yea I have played in them outdoor and indoor now and they have been pretty great despite some of the rubber spikes getting torn out.
I haven’t tried the ghost yet but one of the appeals to me was the ghost having a carbon fiber sole plate, did your soft ground have that? I noticed yours were all white on the sole but the firm ground shows the black carbon fiber exposed.
I love love love carbon fiber plate in my running shoes! I thought it could be really awesome advantage to have that in soccer.
@@VictorHoward14 Mine were the AG (artificial) sole plate, because the carbon ones sold out so fast. Since then I’ve been able to try them on and they are really nice if you don’t have super wide feet!!

Got myself a pair but the rubber/plastic across the top of the laces is too stiff and tight. It feels very very uncomfortable. Should I cut that strip so that it can open and stretch more?

That's not good mate, it sounds like you may not fit in the Ghosted very well... have you considered a different pair of boots?
I wouldn't alter the boot like that, only because you don't know what sort of structural integrity you'll jeopardize!

I bought them ag boots size 8 true to size were too tight especially round the toe area and uncomfortable but they looked nice lol

If you fit really well in the X Ghosted + (laceless), then those are amazing. I personally would buy these instead because they offer better lockdown with the laces and fit my foot better!

But also I play on ag which is what my boots are.. if I change to .1 then my boots have to be FG because ag size sold out.. so double minded
@@torquesporttv9078 they’ll loosen up a little bit but because they are synthetic, they’ll only stretch a very small amount - not enough for you to really notice any performance decline. Worst case scenario is you wear a pair of grip socks and then you’ll be set!! 💪🏼
How do these fit.
I was told they fit a 1/2 size up
They fit well! I went 1/2 larger than normal because my feet are wide, but I would probably recommend true to size if you have thin/regular width feet

Great question brother! The best ones to buy are the ones that fit your feet the best! If you’re going on tech alone, the x ghosted are “better”, but that won’t matter if the other boots fit you better! Does that make sense?

Yes, for my foot (exceptionally wide) I usually wear a 9.5 in most shoes unless it’s a hyper venom 1 or 3 in which case I go down 1/2 size because they’re wide enough. I’d go true to size for your foot if you’ve got a standard width foot!

They felt fine after I broke in, but they were difficult to get on and very tight around he toe area. I've been wearing Mizuno Morelia Neo 2's for the last couple of years, so first time going back to full synthetics since the Mercurial Vapor 3's
