To give you an idea of how powerful these 4,000 lb bombs were in real life, the minimum safe drop height for one of these 4,000 lb blockbuster bombs was 6,000 feet. Here the shockwave would still bounce the aircraft around and pop open hatches.
Funny that in the game you're dropping these things from like 200 ft and coming out pretty much fine lol

@@henrylaird9028 I dunno, in War Thunder, I can drop this same bomb from my Wellington just skimming the ground. So long as I have a few second's fuse time on the bomb I can get away undamaged. They're both flawed

Personally any hit reg(as it appears) on an aircraft in previous bf games has been wonky ie rpg shots on helis in bf4 the rocket doesn't always look like it hits

i like how ranger dave cares for his teammates. first he took out the bombers to save his team from a massacre and then a tiger to save a sqaud leaving objective alpha. would love to gamers like you in my team
Fun fact the mosquito was one of the most feared aircraft in ww2 as it took up many roles and could outrun most German fighters

Damn good eyes. That's my BIGGEST issue when flying. Can't seem to find ground targets too well so I guess my "Mud Runs" are over and I'll stick to more Air to Air. BTW, that 4k bomb should do a hell of a lot more damage than it's doing now. It's like dropping two V-1 rockets at once. Great content, keep it up.. :)

Every mechanic in the game that involves anything apart from infantry play is stupid.
380mm rockets of the Sturmtiger do the same damage as a 6 pounder, while Panzerfaust deals more damage than both combined. (??????????????)

There is no one two punch, the 4000kg blows up every vehicle on drop. The thing is pretty great, though it brings it back to the state bf5 was on release. I spawned in on twisted steel with the 4000kg on my first game and aimed for they're spawn and blew someone's tiger up at the start of the game, not gonna lie it was funny

The great thing about the de Havilland mosquito is that it's the Wooden Wonder made entirely out of wood it was one of the fastest aircraft of World War II and is made during a time of steel aircraft, no one thought that anyone would ever go back to wooden built aircraft but de Havilland proved them wrong
With the mosquito,before you enter the AO.
Come in as slow and as high as you can and sneak a kill in with the cannon.
Take out the fight pilot and then dive in with the 4k and pull a long circle to come back in from far away again

The 4000lb bomb in a mosquito was for a role the Lancaster done However the mosquito was able to do the same job better by fast lower level bombing of targets
The idea was to blow up the target or even with a near miss Followed by other bombers dropping heavy And incendiary bombs which would set fire to roof tops already blown open Windows shattered And whatever littered the streets This would put whatever manpower was left into firefighting which was then followed with American day time bombing

Literally unplayable right now with the bugged incoming hit indicator, aim flicker/black screen, shit turret turning and absurd damage from infantry and planes.
More reasons to stay off the objective
Honestly tanks are unplayable on maps which also have aircraft, how can you compete when you have no method to defend yourself at all and a plane can line you up from across the map and destroy right after spawning. The AA turrets are also useless, unpopular opinion here but this game would be much better without planes for everyone but the few pilots. They are overall unbalanced in my opinion.

I still have no answer on this old question from Battlefield 4. Why did the devs change the JDAM's from 2 at a time to only 1 at a time? Now only 1 is weak and not worth it but 2 is worth it.

Hey Does anyone know RangerDave’s controls for planes because for me mine don’t work out well
I have this thing where people just camp AA turrets and immediately kill you as you spawn in plus people camp planes so when you do get them you are dead in seconds
From what I picked up about the six-pounder it starts dropping off about 300M in front of you so if you're talkin about Leeds shoot someone effectively you got to pick out your optimal lead that you're comfortable with that's not just spray and pray so I would say they would have to be at least according to your screen about 4 in lead on your screen to land a hit
the 4k pound bomb should do more damage than the V1 rocket since 3k of the 4k is explosive, whereas the V1's payload is less than 2k pound
But the V1 has velocity and a higher impact force

( awhile ago) I had this plane, so there was maybe 12-15 people hiding on objective D on this map, so I dropped the bomb on top of their heads and got 10 kills and 3 assist counts as kill and that was crazy

Imagine dropping this bomb on the map and having it historically correct. Big oof for the person who gets headshotted then.
Kind of wish you would have done some more rear cam views when you drop bombs and pull up so we can see the explosions below and what damage it does.

The Pe-8 is Russian and EA stopped major updates
By the way, some nukes like ivy mike or castle bravo had a container they were fit in. Since they were made from uranium, they had to be kept in these containers to prevent radiation poisoning

If you want accuracy go to Fh2 or IL-2 Sturmovik, otherwise be content with a cartoon game! JU87 never met a Mosquito.

I have never flown in a battlefield game. Been playing since BF2 but had a really unstable connection back then (lived out in the country) so I would unpredictably lose connection and drop out the sky. I'm much more used to the sloppy ground combat, got a lot of appreciation for great pilots though, looks tough.
