The ares version that’s discontinued is pretty decent, you have to custom cnc a new trigger box, and ares sells a steel upgrade kit

You buyed the wrong M200. I have the Version 2 of Ares. Metal triggerunit and 740mm inner barrel! Just upgraded the zylinder and hopup rubber. I have way better results. No wabbing buttstock too.

hey brother, nice vídeo. I do some improves on my m200 and really works. First i put barrel spacers, polishing inner barrel, flat hop and stabilized the arm of the hopup. some sealing works on piston, bucking and up to 460 with the original parts.

I did Upgrade one for a Friend of mine.
The problems with the M200 are that its Cylindervolume isnt big enough for that ENORMOUS barrel. Thats why it comes with a short Innerbarrel, so that the barrel doesnt actually slow down the bullet.
The strange Hop-Up behaviour comes from the BB hitting the top of the barrel and getting too much spin that way.
I fitted my friends gun with a custom EdGI barrel and a Mancraft HPA kit. So far this thing performs great.
And if you want to bring down the FPS on the CO2 kit. I read on the internet that cutting down the striker/hammer spring would do the job.

The screw under the stock adjustment button was sheared in half when it came to my house. Also, the bbs like to fall out of the gap between the air nozzle and the "chamber"/hop up. I have to rack the bolt back and forth while turning the gun 45 degrees to the left so that gravity will prevent the bb from simply falling out.
Works better for me as a wallhanger

own the ares m200 vsr compatiable model came in at 380fps used .3g bbs in it shot like a dream barrel comes right to the end comes stock with a madbull 6.03mm barrel and madbull red bucking its perfect

I remember one of my crazy friends bought the CO2 version, did a few mods to it and well...
First it shot at 325 fps (legal 1J limit) and was amazing, on the field it shot like 1200 fps lmao
First time watching your videos and I love how you structured it.
If you wanted to test the air pocket theory, you could chop off some of the barrel (an atrocity I'm sure) if there's no existing shorter one.

Good honest reviews fair and square pros and cons.
Never seen a gun with a decent stock bucking/nub setup. You don't have to upgrade everything but pretty much bucking / nub combo is a must if you have any desire for something resembling accuracy and effective range.
I had that issue with the bb's on my URX with a mock suppressor. It was because the barrel was short and the bb's kept nicking the hole on it's way out. So what I did was I bought the longest inner barrel out there. It was a PSG plus. The barrel came out just shy of the suppressor. I tried shooting it again and it was still nicking the edge. What happened there was that the inner barrel was having play inside. So I modded a piece of plastic into a disc, fitted it into the suppressor an drilled a hole the size of the inner barrel to fit in the middle and hold it straight. It works badass now.
I'd say it was do to all that air space in there. My problem was was that and compounded with the end of the suppressor.
man I like these videos no one on youtube really does reviews WITH gameplay footage aswell just some target shooting first person who does multiple reviews with lots of different guns will be extremely popular but it's so hard to buy or borrow guns just for reviews
I just upgraded my UTG l96 today with a Action Army Type 96 Chamber, Madbull 6.03 barrel and a maple leaf bucking!

Good vid man! Mine had issue out of the box too. Took it apart and found the the barrel and hip up was installed upside down. Solved the hop up issue. Went to take the bolt apart to clean and lube everything and it was way to tight and I had to practically destroy it to get it apart. Once apart there was some nasty looking black liquid inside. Fairly disappointed now that the cylinder and the cap threads are jacked just from trying to disassemble the bolt. Guess that’s another good reason for leaving a gun stock if it performs good. You don’t have to take it apart! Lol keep the good work! I think it would be cool if you made a bolt disassembly intro and parts compatibility for this gun! 🤯

This is a novelty piece many built for looks but I have seen 2 of them modded to actually shoot straight. One just used barrel spacers,cleaning,sanding,stronger spring and a new barrel(L96 barrel works) the other one had done all those things and bought (or made) a full length inner barrel to reach the end of the gun without dead space and a after market hopup that fit on top of a custom made piston?(not sure why this was needed), both were the spring version. If you buy this get the spring version and buy the Co2 kit separately because if you buy the Co2 version they don't send you the spring piston/bolt with it(an don't sell the springs kit as far as I know)
I know this video is old but it may have been what bb weight you was using because on my cm16 srl i cant use .3s for some reason but my gun shoots just fine with .28s so you might be using to high of a wieght bb and if thats not it fill your outer barrel with foam to cover up any air pocket
The thing with Airsoft sniper rifles and Airsoft snipers is that when we upgrade, we go for reliability and consistency. We get things like laser cut cylinders instead of stock crimped one's because the crimped ones will break. We get 90 degree sears and pistons because 45 degree sears and pistons wear on the upper interior of the cylinder and will eventually slam fire, some sooner than later. We attempt to get the best possible air seal because the consistency and our velocity goes in hand with the accuracy of the rifle, so in some cases we need better hop-up units, most of the time we get better buckings or R-hop. We volume match our barrels to our cylinders, in most cases unless you have bore-up parts a inner barrel longer than 500-550mm is too long and can cause issues with accuracy and range.
The point of this is that when Airsoft snipers see guns like that, If we have the funds we want to know what we can do with the gun to ensure it was worth the purchase even as a base platform so upgrade-ability is a big factor in purchasing one.

You need a longer inner barrel. Bbs are probably bouncing off the outer barrel. Also need to upgrade the hop.

had the same problem with my Beowolf with the consistency and weight of the gun got rid of it as soon as I bought it. never fielded the gun.
I bought the m200 from Evike. Check to see if the inner barrel is touching the outer barrel. Mine was. A friend of mine said to wrap the inner barrel with packing tape to stabilize/center the tip. See if that does the trick.

Thanks for watching. This is interesting though. You're maybe the 5th or 6th person from outside the States that said their G28 doesn't perform like mine. I wonder if we have different versions here vs Europe vs Asia.
I'm glad I see this, as I was just about to purchase one, I like well made guns, but they have to warrant quality with usability. all I could use this gun for is converting it to a Mortar .upgrading after paying out stupid price is not practical as shout be perfect at the price of it as £800 $1200 in the UK maybe we have gold in our versions lol

Have you thought about trying the wolverine bolt with c02 stock?
this is one time you might consider just upgrading the barrel. even if a friend has a compatible loaner. I'd be interested to see if you theory of some sort of air pocket is correct.
Also,do you think the Zm51 is a good airsoft sniper? Could you do a review and gameplay on it? If so,that would be great!
FYI just got mine and the stock is not wobbly..it rotates slightly bc of the length but nowhere close to the wobble you have...very tight. I also achieve up to 424 fps with 0.2g without any hopup adjustment...so there is a lot more potential. My bolt is really hard to pull i tried light silicone oil but still a struggle. Planning to add TDC and a precision barrel.
it may just be the camera angle looking at you but the scope seems to be off center if you look at the front pic rail then look towards the scope. i know that doesn't help the drop-offs, but could that be the issue for the right to left flyers? i know with my rifles that is the biggest pet peeve i have is when my sights or other add-ons aren't level or are canted at an angle.
Well, the SRS is basically "upgraded" from the start.
As long as the one doing the upgrades know what they are doing, the upgraded guns should be more reliable than stock guns since potential faults should've been taken care of. :)

My sniper just broke so I don't have much do play with 😢 so naturally I tried to fix it then broke it more
600-700 fps on CO2? buy widebore barrel, 800mm 6.13 should do the job if not overdo it, try 6.08 first though
Massakre8492nd I think Edgi 5.98 would lot better, than 6.13 which is stock like parameter of the inner barrel.
well, 5.98 would increase FPS, which is what He does not want to do with CO2 conversion, wide bores are used with replicas that have high fps in order to lower the speed, accuracy remains the same as 5.98 if You have a high quality widebore, i would even go with 6.23

I love your vids! I got a jg bar 10 for an early Christmas present. I was thinking of getting a novritsch kit for I don't want to mix and match parts, I was wondering what your take on this is.....

You can see from review videos that his kits are high quality. They are expensive however. He told me to buy PDI parts to save money.
You should review the Novritsch SSG 24
if i can recomend u this beast ... try it from socom gear with 8mm bbs :-D they have fully licenced :-)
if u wanna good stock gun buy g&g g960 sv spring version.on my market 540 fps out of the box i rely enjoy it and its not heavy at all
so a DMR semi auto would be better try a M14 EBR the long barrel version!
I have a first gen G&G EBR and I love it. Very low velocity however. But perhaps I should make a video with it.

Got an S&T SVD that fires at 475 fps semi auto only out of the box. With 75 round mags, makes a great DMR.

hey chris just wanted to thank u for letting me know what paint u used for the flash hider. i was at he recent rev. also u can tighten the screws where the stock connects to the receiver to lower the stock wobble
I've done that but the shaft on the right side still wobbles.
What mag pouches would/do you use? I'm thinking of getting a ares msr 338. I'm thinking of getting another mag or two, just in case for those bigger games.
+Nate Wallinger 417 pouches should work fine. That what I use for my G28. The M200 magazine is way to big though. Have to put it in my kangaroo pouch
