- We've said it before and we'll say it again, toe socks are the perfect companion to barefoot shoes. They allow your toes to spread out naturally, reduce friction and blistering, and after you get used to them, just feel better than normal socks. We reviewed 7 brands of socks in our first video, and it ended up being viewed way more than we thought it was going to! So we're happy to bring you another video with 4 more brands. A good Tabi I would recommend is Kineya Tabi or Rikio
Yaye, Creepers! They are all I wear now.
I almost bought the xoskin but ended up going with the thicker ininjis and really like them for work. Might try the xoskin this summer.
Xoskins are significantly lighter and thinner than injinjis so if you were going for thicker you nailed it with that move
This was a good review on the toes sock man. I just love watching you & your brother Giving your opinions on toes sock & the toes shoes as well. I just wish they would make them for people like me with very extremely wide feet 🦶. I have 6 boys & they all have very wide feet 🦶 ( which they got from me ) because my wife doesn't have wide feet 🦶. But my boys hate wearing shoes & socks & only like wearing flip-flops 🩴or sandals. But they like the 5 fingers shoes & i am trying to get them all a pair to wear. They want the toes socks a lot so that they can wear them with there flip flops 🩴. I know that sock & flip-flops 🩴or sandals doesn't go together but That seems to be the style now days. I just don't want my boys toes to be freezing to death because they wearing flip-flops 🩴in 20° Degrees Temperatures outside going to school. I really really like the toes sock you just did & i going to see if I can get my boys a pair of them. I just wish I could get me a pair of them. I think of my toes was not evenly straight across & was at a 45° Degrees angle like everybody else toes are & this making my foot 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe the toes socks would fit me. Thank you for sharing this video buddy. I really really enjoyed watching this. Keep up the good work you & your brother is doing.
Maybe consider the Bearfoot Splay Socks for yourself. When I (Eric) wear those ones they are way too long on my last 3 toes. If I understand what you're saying about your feet that might work for you?
@@sonsofseveryes you are understanding me right. My toes are very fat & chubby & Evenly straight across which is making my feet 🦶 6 1/2 inches wide straight across of my big toe to my lil toe. The Bearfoot splay toe sock I will look into. It's so embarrassing having toes like this because everyone is saying that they never seen toes that are Evenly straight across like my toes are. & with my toes being very fat & chubby it makes my foot look very very extremely wide which it is.
Have you tried any of the barefoot socks that are not toe socks? They are foot shaped. I have the wool ones from Magical Shoes. They are very loose and floppy on me. I haven't tried any others.
We have not! We'll have to look into that
Always looking for affordable toe socks. Ive got a few pairs of injnji and they only last about 1 year before they get holes in the toes
I have a question With the toes socks only lasting a year before they get ahold in them Would you still recommend them to wear Or get something else to wear? I have very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ( 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across ) & I am a chubby fat dude so I can't wear shoes or socks because my foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots but I have 6 boys & they all have very wide feet 🦶 as well but still can wear shoes & socks & I am thinking about getting them some of the toes socks to wear. My boys hate wearing shoes unless it's very cold outside. They only want to wear there flip flops 🩴because of there very wide feet 🦶 they have. I know sock & sandals don't go together but that Seems to be the style these days & They would fit right in. I wish I could try These toe socks on or make a pair for people like me with extremely wide feet 🦶. I would appreciate your opinion. Thanks you.
Can you review Tabi's shoes or Tabi socks?
They’re one of the companies we are after currently
Hey guys i struggle with sock toe pressure especially hiking in steep terrain. Would to socks alleviate this issue?
Where exactly are you feeling the pressure?
Hello, I live in Canada and can't find these here, do you know of a Canadian sold toe socks that you recommend? Also, I saw injinji on Amazon and heard they're a good brand, can I trust Amazon socks ?
We don't know of any Canadian based brands unfortunately, but Injinji is a solid choice. I've had a pair that have lasted a few years now and they're comfy. I would guess any running store would have them in stock, or they're in REI, not sure if you have one of those or not, if you can get them on Amazon though then I would say go for it
@@sonsofsever follow up question, vibram Canada website doesn't have many options compared to the US counterpart. Are they shutting down their business in Canada ?
@@jonny123596 not sure! That's something we ask our rep there though!
I know this is a subjective and kind of annoying complaint, but I find just about every toe sock I've seen really ugly. during every day wear, I don't want to have flashy multicolored toe socks to draw attention to my feet, I want a plain black , no logo sock to blend in
sera's looked really clean, but those were sold out so big whoop
We would highly suggest Creepers. Plain black is their bread and butter!
They have a Creepy name, and branding isn't good looking, imo. I also tried to purchase 7 pairs of those on the website and was promised free international shipping, but then they ask me for $50 shipping at the checkout. Very frustrating :( @@sonsofsever
Injinji has plain color socks....and they feel great!
@@JimmyG3237 agreed, Injinji are right there at the top too
The chemicals in the Xoskin socks look concerning.
What chemicals specifically are you concerned about?
@sonsofsever My understanding is that the socks are made of PTFE which is basically Teflon. PTFE appears to contain PFAs, or Forever Chemicals. Looks like it is not good for environment, leaching chemicals and never breaking down. I prefer natural materials when it comes to something next to my skin, especially feet which get hot and sweaty and could cause the chemicals to leach out of the socks and be absorbed through the skin. It is getting harder and harder to avoid chemicals these days.
@@mamabear9389 from my research PTFE is nontoxic to people as long as it is kept under 600° F. It doesn’t seem to leach at temperatures that the body produces.
@sonsofsever Ahhh thanks. I will look into it further. Note that the industry is pretty good at convincing us toxic things or not toxic so it is sometimes difficult to get reliable information!
@@mamabear9389 oh, I totally 100% agree
