An alternative to a coloured hot glue stick could be to use a regular glue stick then use nail polish to paint it once dry - I've made a Hogwarts letter or two in my time - these are very cute!

This is the most creative P4A video I've seen so far this year! All of the ornaments are FANTASTIC (I especially like the letter). I'm a fan of Harry Potter primarily because of the fandom and the ways in which it has expanded the HP universe to reflect itsef and the transformative ways in which it interacts with the source media (example: the HP Alliance).

I very much appreciate seeing a video that offers more than just information! I voted you up on P4A.
I like the first ornament the best. Pretty simple to make, interesting, and with less to go wrong like in the other two if you happen to not be great at crafts :D
Also, although the concept of "hate crimes" legislation confuses me (why is harassment/assault/murder any worse if the victim is of a specific group of people? why not just enforce the existing laws like we ought to be doing in the first place?), I do love the idea of using the mental image of Neville making a difference to help people stand up as a community to say it's not okay to let these crimes keep happening. Along with working towards legislation, I hope you're also keeping an eye out for those around you and being an Upstander (instead of Bystander) when people get harassed or bullied.
