  • Native Americans serve in the military at a greater rate than the national average, but they also face greater challenges when they re-enter civilian life.
Jake, an army veteran from the Navajo Nation, is pursuing a career in real estate, thanks to help from Hesperus, the only National Veterans Service Organization with a specific focus on supporting and connecting Native American veterans to employment pathways that both benefit the veteran and the Native American tribe and community more broadly.
The Schultz Family Foundation supports veterans' organizations, including Hesperus, who have helped thousands of veterans transition to civilian life.

Why are Native Americans serving a country that slaughtered them? I wouldn't. I find this weird. Why do you do it?
