This is the fourth episode of Spiti tour which I did in the last week of December 2023. In this travel vlog, I'll take you through the picturesque villages of Tabo and the mesmerizing Dhankar Monastery, providing you with a front-row seat to the beauty that lies in the heart of Himachal Pradesh.
I also did the tough trekking of Dhankar lake. You'll see Tabo Monastery, Tabo Caves, Dhankar monastery, Dhankar Lake and Lingti waterfall.
🏡 Tabo Village: A Glimpse into Centuries of History
Our first stop is Tabo Village, often referred to as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas." Steeped in history, Tabo is home to the ancient Tabo Monastery, dating back over a millennium. Next on our itinerary is the iconic Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically atop a high cliff. The monastery offers panoramic views of the Spiti Valley, making it a perfect spot for reflection and spiritual rejuvenation. Marvel at the ancient architecture, visit the meditation caves, and soak in the tranquility that Dhankar exudes.
