Thanks! I just needed to take my glove box out to get to one of the computers. I didn't have a clue, but your video explained it all. By the way, I have the two (upper and lower) glove boxes, and the procedure is the same. Only, I had four 6mm (10mm wrench size) bolts holding it together, and the same three phillips head bolts that you had at the top. Thanks again!

just a tip, always remove the negative terminal not the positive, because if the positive terminal did touch any bear metal on the car, it would go boom.

BTW, it’s the wrench handle touching any metal parts would cause a boom!

Managed to remove it by prying the black center part above the wiring harness. It was a huge pain though!

Mad respect for this. I need to replace my tweeters so badly because they’re crackling but omg that’s a lot of work. But, if you were just doing the speakers and not a whole dash replacement, is it less time consuming?
Thanks man! It is a lot of work, it took 3 hours. I saw a forum member in FB stating he just Broke the tweeter covers and broke off all the plastic for the tweeter holder. He then ran new wire and shoved his new tweeter in the hole. The. Place the cover back on. To complete remove the tweeter there’s two 10 mm bolts under the dash, so technically yes to remove the tweeter you will need to remove the dash.

should just replace door speakers with ones that have built in tweeters and disconnect tweeters from the amp
@@BleechMedia having the tweeters so low would sound awful. There’s a reason why the tweeters are placed higher up in the dash or on the door near the mirrors. High up to the ears and to also standout from the low bass and mids
Did you fix the speaker or not? I need a way to change the speaker, but this seems very difficult
The double glove box is for the 01-03 pre-facelift models. It's cool too bad it's not wrapped in real leather like what came in your 05 CL.

the left side dual temperature control to get to those bolts....all you had to do was pry it off my man. Same with the right side.

@mistervaso sick car though, I have the 2005 ls430, unfortunately mine is not healthy, although I did not cheap out on it, mechanically it's a dream, but rust is everywhere on the thing, unfortunately rust was hidden before i bought it so did not see it, not even sure if it will give me extra years out of it before it crumbles

Yes, this is because of sun exposure. However, I think the heat also plays a major factor
