My favourite part is when you were shaking it to test for strength! Looks like a great piece of kit! Would love to see more of your painting adventures!
This is awesome! Really useful to hear in detail about the easel and how you're intending to use it. And love seeing you out and about painting in all seasons!
This type of easel is very practical and readily available. However, there is one downside they all have in common. The price, very expensive for what they are. A bit of research will show yourself many similar patterns which can easily be made with a minimum of tools and skill.Still, each to their own, maybe it's just personal thing but I can't justify paying hundreds of pounds for what is basically a few sheets of routered plywood with a couple of magnets. As of January 24, this easel is being advertised for just shy of £200
I cant justify the cost. I made my own very similar from two cheap art panels from Aldi. I cut one in half and used piano hinges to join as wings. I bought torsion hinges to attach a piece of wood that goes over the top to mount paper.
Did not see you use their up right? Yours was black attached to your tripod you basically abandoned up right part in favor of your own? What tri pod and up right do you use can I ask thanks for video
Really like the design of this easel. Looks like a lot of thought has gone into it. Not sure whether to go for the larger medium size for bigger mixing area? Guess I’ll have to make a few templates to see how they’ll fit into my bag. Can you buy this in the U.K.? Don’t want to get stun with big import fees. Incidentally if you did import how much was the total cost? Nice video thanks for sharing?
It's nice to see you back with another video.
Ah cheers Cornelius! 😊
Your review was very helpful; I’m trying to gather as many details and opinions on the various plein air easels before I buy one. Thank You!
