Best moment of these two for me, is when Jack is fighting to defend Daniels name when he's dying of radiation. That was a very subtle way of showing his loyalty to his mate.

Spot on... their relationship is partly the reason I keep coming back to this series time and time agian! RDA, Shanks, Tapping, and Judge are the perfect balance to an amazing crew... I always loved RDA and Judge's dynamic as well

These are all great moments and Abyss is my all time favourite episodes because of their relationship. I also ❤ " Daniel, Go to your Happy Place" from Season 7 Enemy Mine. Perfect reaction from Jack when Daniel start to get irrate when he finds that historic artifacts have been moved. Well done, Gateworld.
All great moments, one not here that I liked is when Daniel was asking who shot him and Carter gives a sideways look at Jack and he says in his defense you were shooting up the gate room..
The elevator scene in season 6 Full circle. I love their interaction and how it is a funny & serious scene at the same time. Interactions I'd go with Mckay and Shepard. I like the two from SGA.

Fantastic episode. Most sci-fi shows have had a Groundhog Day episode, Star Trek TNG did one and played it straight, SG-1 went down the comedic route, and we had surely the funniset episode ever? When Daniel say's, "you do realise that you can do anything you want, and get away with it, because only you and Teal'c will remmember it?". Cue, the scene in which Jack and Teal'c are shooting golf balls through tghe gate, Hammond, "Jack what the hell? Jack, "sorry George". Then of course the kiss between Sam and Jack(wonder how many takes they had for that?).

Okay, I came to this show just a couple of years ago. I fell in love with it instantly. But I will admit, I felt SO kicked in the gut with the Daniel "Goodbye/Meridian" thing! It was hard enough that they did it. But then they not only reversed it, but it became a joke that he "died" over & over. Not a fan of that sort of emotional manipulation in shows. To me it just cheapens the impact. Anyway, I love these two! I'm a geek like Daniel, so I always related to him the most.
Coming to the show late, you might not realize just how much the fans had to do with that. The writers intended Daniel to be dead. The show was "ending", his arc was complete, having him die was an emotional sendoff for a beloved character and the show … but his fate was better than simply dying, he was going to be an immortal being and learn the secrets of the universe. And then the show didn't end. They replaced Daniel with freakin' Parker Lewis. (❤ to Corin Nemec and his character Jonas … but first impressions are what they are.) Fans went ballistic in a way that would be hard to fathom even in the age of social media, before Twitter or Facebook were a thing. They brought him back. Dr. Frasier is the one that really hit hard because you knew her death was permanent.
Couldn't agree more. The main characters are all protected by plot armour, and ok, that goes for many if not all sci-fi shows, but in the season seven episode Heroes part two, they kill off a much beloved character, Dr Janet Fraiser, becasue they wanted to show that in war, you lose people, it's gritty, it's realistic, but Daniel dies and comes back over and over, like you say, it just cheapens the impact.
The season four episode, The curse has just aired here in the UK, what a brilliant episode, a Daniel episode, in which he hears of his mentors death and attends the funeral. There he meets an old flame and a bitter rival. Both are curious as to why he seems to have dropped off the map, no papers published, in fact no mention of him at all, even when they incover atrtifacts that prove his theories, he cannot reveal the truth, even though he is aching to tell his old flame. Dr Janet Fraiser gets to spread her wings whe she accompanies Daniel and Sam on a mission. This episode should have been a two part episode, and the characters should have been revisited, the forty five minutes just flew by.
I have just watched the season seven episode, Fragile Balance, in which a 15 year old Jack has to convine the rest of the team that it's really him. Sam, Daniel and Teal'c go to his house to look for clues for this transformation. On the wall there are pictures of Jack as a special forces operative(presumably in the gulf). Which begs the question, when did he find the time to train as a top fighter pilot, did he do a course in his spare time? I mean surely you are one or the other, to keep up with flying the latest fighter jets wouuld surely take up hundreds of hours of flying.
Daniel was a colder character while Jack was as way more passionate and emotional. If Jack was ascended he would have changed all of the ancients minds and ideals lol then rallied to save Daniel
Please do Sam and Jack and all the times they were SUPPOSED to be together… only in alt realities OR memories lost OR my most favorite WOO…. Good episode today
*I do wish the first **#Daniel** Jackson from the movie 🎥 would have stayed put for the series, that would have made it so much better. That’s just my opinion for what that’s worth.* 💥 😍 💜

No relationship is better than Jack and Daniel. They had the best chemistry of all the characters. Every moment between them is magical ❤️.
