How to Draw Swinging Doors in Perspective

Everybody runs into this issue when doing perspective drawings: what happens when a door is open and doesn't line up with everything else in the perspective setup? If a door is closed or open 90 degrees, it just uses the same vanishing points, but if it's open slightly, it uses a new set of vanishing points. This video goes over that concept.

My students called me out on it one day. They told me to draw swinging doors from every angle and set a 1-minute timer. That was a really funny group.
