As a newbie runner it's so inspiring and heart warming to see you smile through these runs :)
ah thanks simona! if it doesn't make you smile then it's probably not worth your time!
Wow! What an impressive medal. Congrats from NZ on being able to race again. It's amazing how adaptable organisers can be in these difficult times to make these events happen. Great determination, honesty & passion for running 🥇💪👍
"Lies" 😆. Giving me flashbacks to last years RTTS my first and last ultra 🙂. As Ben would say you got it done. Anyone who completes an ultra has my respect 👏
ah don't let rtts be your last! the fields are relentless aren't they! there are plenty of far nicer courses in my opinion.. rttk for example! :D
@@SarahPlace let's just say I ran it with 2 friends and it didn't really "go to plan" due to tumbles and injuries.. Day 2 was a total slog, didn't enjoy it at all. Sticking with distances up to marathon from now on.
Well done Sarah, cant imagine running 50 miles im sleepy after a 10k
ha! i always thought that too but turns out our bodies can do more than we give them credit for!
Huge congrats Sarah and thanks so much for sharing this. Truly inspiring!
Once again, well done Sarah. Truly an inspiration. 👏
Congratulations Sarah, and thanks for taking us along on your journey!
Another awesome video, Sarah, congratulations on your great run, well done! So inspirational to see you push through those tough moments and finish strong :) Cheers, Scott
Pretty amazing Sarah! You are a huge inspiration, well done on the run. Love the channel too, so honest! 💪🔥
Great job Sarah! Inspiring as usual. Looking forward to your next videos.
Sarah, you make 50 miles seem like a doable effort for anyone who has a positive attitude like yours. Excellent run! Great video presentation!
thanks doug! all about the positivity! :D
Awesome job! Love seeing you smile through 50 miles....Reminds me to simply enjoy my time out there.
Well done Sarah! Great video you smashed it!! 💪🏼
Great Video Sarah, brilliant running as always. Good showing highs and lows. keep up the good work really enjoying you vlogs
So so inspiring! Keep up the good work and huge congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for bringing us on the adventure. I am starting to push bigger miles and love the videos for the good and bad. Rock on and keep running.
Well done Sarah. Great insight into the race. You make vlogging and running Ultra's look easy
Thanks for such a brilliant and honest video, well done in the race too!
Well done Sarah!!! Congrats. You little Superstar!!!
Great run and great film. I finished it in 10:00:03 and that three seconds will definitely not play on my mind.....
oh pete😂 that is gutting but marginally easier to accept than 10:00:01 and it's still a cracking time! hope you had a good day out there!
@@SarahPlace ha - yes, guess you're right. It was a great day for my first 50 and it'll something to aim in the SDW50 next year!
Yes Pete, I think all runners have been there. "Those three seconds..." :-D
that´s 09:60:03 though.
congratulations! great video. I love seeing the English countryside and also seeing how you were doing at different parts of the race. Amazing pace for 50 miles!!
Amazing job! And taking the energy to keep us updated must not have been easy during that effort!
lovely to see ups and downs during an ultra. That's how it is :-)
Well done Sarah, getting such deja vouz along the course from my 2019 sufferfest... some great memories, some horrific flashbacks 😆 Good luck with ND50, you'll crush that too 💪
Looks like a cracking event. Amazing scenery. Well done Sarah 👍
You’re an inspiration. Working my way up to half marathon and can’t imagine 50 miles. You make it look so easy. Hope to be like you one day. Thank you for taking us along with you. Xx
Congratulations Sarah. It looks like an amazing route. 🏃♀️🏃♀️👏👏💪💪
Blimey, that last 400m seemed to go on forever! Well done!
What a wonderful achievement! Well done Sarah! Love from Singapore 😊
Well done! So inspirational! Thank you for sharing!
Congratulations Sarah! This is so inspiring! I'm gonna run my first marathon in next two weeks and so far at 30K distance I'm almost done :D Cannot imagine running 80K at this point :)
I guess there's no other way but to work it out with your hard work.
Loving your channel!
All the best!
So amazing, Well done. Seemed like a massive mental battle that one, even though I love running I couldn't imagine running that far!! 😂😂
Awesome effort! looks like an incredible course 💪🔥
Well done and a great lesson learned. Problem solving and the ability to adapt is key on the longer races.
Congrats looks at great race and effort. I have my 50 miler in November. These socks are a lifesaver. Enjoying watching the series.
Congratulations Sarah! Happy for you. What I find amazing is you crossed finish line looking as fresh as when you started. 😀
Glad that everything went smooth, also the views and weather sure also helped to keep the mood up. Can't imagine if weather is rainy and muddy, would have been a totally different story. Congrats on your finish!
I wish I could like this more than once! So inspiring! Cheers!
Fantastic effort Sarah and a great video..It's great to watch when you video your races as it gives a great insight into how tough these ultras are... I finished my 1st Ultra last Saturday at the age of 49 and struggled badly with Indigestion after taking on solids.. despite not having any issues during my long runs in training.. Strange how the body seems to reject proper food the further you run!!!?? Keep up with the great videos and we will keep watching and learning.
Was so great to see this video. Thanks! I make an appearance at 10:36 with a WELL DONE shout!
Incredible effort, Sarah! Well done! :)
Amazing Sarah, keep it up and brilliant work! 🥳🙌
thank you alexander!!
Well done Sarah 👏🏼 ps. Editing was 🔥🤩
Great job and what lovely weather you guys got! Amazing!
yeah so lucky with the weather, it was perfect!!
Subscribed because I was so impressed you managed the spiel about subscribing that far into a 50 miller ultra! You go girl! 😂
You're a machine mate, crushed it 💪🏻
Great to see you out running your heart out ;-)
And.... as a little old man it's really reassuring to see you walking the flat bits towards the end of the race. If someone young with long legs ends up walking, then I don't feel so bad about me doing it ;-)
Although to be fair, I would have started walking a LOT sooner than you did :-)
Super looking forward to your next race. I think it runs through where I used to live, so I'll be really interested in catching a glimpse of my old haunts as you run through them. ;-)
Thanks Sarah, I really enjoyed watching that video.
Your love and enthusiasm for trail running really shone though.
To do something that tough and smile while doing it !!!
Next time I’m out running and start tiring I’ll remember your wise words...
“Just take on one foot in front of the other, again again & again. 😁
Absolutely amazing performance Sarah!!! Massive congratulations to you!!!!
thanks jamie!!
This is your best video yet Sarah.x Brilliant editing and great race footage. Congratulations on the finish and looking forward to your next video.
ah thanks Thomas!
Well done Sarah, so enjoyed your video ! 👍🏃🏻♀️
Congrats! Great video :) I can't wait until we can start racing again.....Sept/October are my favorite race months with the cooler weather!
yeah it felt great to be pinning a number on again!
Amazing Sarah!!!.. well done
Great Video, I was feeling your pain. Keep up the great work.
Brilliant video!! Great edit, great soundtrack, and the 'LIES' bit at CP4 nearly made me spit my coffee all over the laptop, haha!! Huge congrats, what a mental and physical battle!!
ha thanks ioan! putting on a brave face at the checkpoints in the hope the volunteers tell you that you look strong so it feeds your ego a bit and you carry on!
Thank you so much for this Sarah. I done a recky last weekend and was crapping it when I went through the gate with the dog!!!
Well done. Got me super pumped for my first 50 mile (Karkloof100) next weekend. Thanks and well done on the videos.
Well done Sarah, another great run. One day I might be tempted to run 50! Really appreciate the time and effort you both put into the videos you do :)
ah thank you! and yes you should, it is essentially just a day spent doing something you love, so it's really not that bad :)
Just found your channel - amazing content -well done !
Watching this video has inspired me to get off road running and onto the trails - looks so much more enjoyable(despite the pain at times ) not chasing times etc .
Keep up great work 👊
great stuff david, welcome aboard! enjoy the trails!
Well done Sarah, amazing running! 🙌
Great run Sarah. Really enjoyed the video.
I was just sitting there thinking "that looks like the village of Dibley" when you popped up the info about Turville. Thats pretty cool.
Loved your recap
Love it.... Great content and most importantly well done girl. Great running to come in under the 10 hours, one day that's a time i want to beat..
You looked so fresh with only 2 miles left to go, I don’t even look that fresh at the end of a half marathon, never mind at mile 48, massive well done to you 👏👏👏
Well done you did it and very quick in my opinion!
Well done, Sarah! Great accomplishment!
thank youu!
Awesome work Sarah! Congratulations on the race, can't have been easy filming it all too. Looking forward to seeing your journey to Arc of Attrition!
thanks rich! i wasn't sure if i was going to film on the day but glad i could cobble something together with the footage i got! yeah the next few months in the lead up to arc are going to be interesting! hope your running is going well!
Congrats, it was really neat sharing the run with you.
Brilliant, just brilliant.
A great motivator for us all.
I have 2 races coming up.

Great job! Love the 50 mile distance, have a tough 12 hour race this Saturday...hope to hit 50 miles.
Brilliant. Super inspiring. 🙏🙌🏼
Thanks for sharing. It's truly inspiring.
What a great video Sarah. Highs and lows but smiling throughout. Looking forward to more training videos for the Arc. I’m doing SDW50 next month and if it goes well and I can get a place I may well see you the end of January. Just need to avoid injuries and stay motivated. Keep up the top work, hope Ben had a good run too. Cheers!
ah nice! enjoy sdw50, one of my favourites!!

You’ll love Cornwall Sarah, I lived there for 10 years and it’s a beautiful place to run.

Well done Sarah, did you know that there is a Sarah Place in Dublin , opposite the Phoenix Park. Thanks to you and Ben for the videos particularly as we are in a lockdown, again!
Beautiful race
Great video. Looked amazing being out in the countryside in great weather. Up to about 4:40, really made me think I fancy doing something like it.
Then at 32 miles; "I feel soooo grim" and I thought; nah, marathon is long enough for me!! 😆
This is so inspiring!! ❤️❤️
Im a total beginner trying to improve my 5k speed and seeing you achieve this is just motivating me a lot, so thank you 😃😃
ah thank you! we all have to start somewhere so well done and good luck with the 5k training!
